I have been working at Mohawk Industries full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

People at middle management and below are great. It is a great place to work if you want to make long time friends. Very relaxed atmosphere most of the time.

    Cons

Upper Management throw their people under the bus and do not take ownership for their failures. They do not listen to what needs to be done to get the job done right the first time and then get angry for issues.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees. Stop telling them to do more with less when the company is doing so well. When you have a resource problem, cutting resources is never going to be the answer.

I worked at Mohawk Industries (More than a year)

    Pros

The Flooring President is one of the most brilliant people I have met. His tenure will be defined by the imminent success driven by recent acquisitions.

    Cons

The benefits, while they may align with their carpet-making competitors in the Dalton, GA area, do not compare favorably with other Fortune 300 companies. Location of Corporate office unattractive to Atlanta area talent. Wall-to-wall carpet not attractive to home builders anymore.

    Advice to Management

The perpetual downsizing efforts and plant shutdowns do not foster a positive work environment. Some departments should be more realistic on employee expectations.
