The pay was good and the benefits were comprehensive. Like most jobs, especially with larger companies, you can get bogged down in corporate-speak platitudes, but they mean well and that's standard in the US. Also like most jobs, management and your peers will make or break your experience, I found the management to be great. Fun, caring people all around. There are frequent career advancement opportunities. Dealer schools are typically offered twice a year and are paid for by Mohegan. Very generous of them and the endorsements are yours to take with you. If the openings exist, the company opens the door wide for advancement into management and supervisory positions, though they can be competitive and typically require a move to swing shift if on grave or days. Lastly, the company offers high mobility. If you don't like one position, you're welcome to put in for a transfer to any other position in any other department at no risk to your current position. You'll receive preference over external applicants, though it's important to note that you may be stuck for many months if staff is short. This is most common with those working security due to stringent staffing requirements put in place by the PGCB. Great place to work.
It's a casino, so you're going to have to accept unconventional hours. The wait for dayshift can last years. Vacation time can be very difficult to get, whether you have the PTO hours or not. While rarely extreme or hard to deal with, there are a lot of arbitrary rules and they change frequently. It's important to pay attention to that.
