I worked at Mohegan Tribal Gaming Authority full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Free breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Has own cafeteria and the food is good. Flexible hours. Can pick up shifts easily.

    Cons

Managers aren't your friends. Very tiring. Deal with rude employees and managers. No team work.

I have been working at Mohegan Tribal Gaming Authority part-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

I have made great friends. I can make a decent amount of money in a short period of time. Medical benefits and 401k. They do have an employee grille and it is a very lade back atmosphere when we are on break. Byt, that is much needed considering working in a casino is toxic.

    Cons

Every addiction is in this place. If there is an issue human resources will side with the first person who goes down and writes the incident report. They have no clue what they are doing in human resources. They treat you like a criminal if you are a witness to an incident. And They Need To Up The Salary For Managers and Supervisors. They are over worked, over whelmed, tired for the pay it isn't even tempting to... want to make a move from beverage server to supervisor to manager. Very unfortunate.

    Advice to Management

Start doing weekly meetings (with one another). Have an ascent training class at least once a month. And if there are supervisors not willing to learn then they are not qualified for the position.
