    Pros

You got a paycheck and some teammates. If there was a lack of business, the owner Richard Morrison would do anything to avoid layoffs.

    Cons

MFG puts up a good façade. Horrible "Good Ole Boy" culture at the top. Aging executive staff who fight for Richards attention and will throw each other under the bus to get it. Everyone shows up to support you when you start to show progress, so they can claim credit for the turn around. This is an employee run company. So don't do anything they don't like or they will call Corporate HR and you'll be out of a job. The numbers are never good enough for Richard Morrison who will belittle you during meetings. Micro managed by certain VPs, so the real story of what's going on is hidden from Richard Morrison, the owner. Home work life balance is horrible. MFG is a very hard company to fit in with, if you come from a more corporate type structured company. Thus the revolving door on management staff.

    Advice to Management

Stop your infighting for Richard's attention. Richard needs to retire and let a real CEO take this aging company to the next level. Lastly, get rid of the "Good Ole Boy" culture!

    Pros

There are no pros, very disfunctional

    Cons

Old school, good old boy environment. Low pay, large turnover, bully tactics, negative work culture.

    Advice to Management

Fire top good old boys and hire actual talent.

I worked at Molded Fiber Glass Companies full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Lots of hardworking people wanting to make things right.
People with lots of experience in the floor with composites willing to teach if you listen.

    Cons

Old management unwilling to change old ways.
HR is a joke that someday will cost this company lots of money.
There is no chance of advancement and working conditions are really bad specially in summer.

    Advice to Management

Get people trained and get and apply that training.
Listen to your employees specially the ones with experience that are working on the product.
    Don't be afraid of change.
Audit HR for compliance with state and local labor laws.
Bring OSHA to help audit your safety protocols. (Don't set a show before audit).

I worked at Molded Fiber Glass Companies full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great people to work with. Challenging job with plenty to do.

    Cons

Unstable management where people did not know where they were coming or going. Plant was managed with personal politics and not realistic and common sense good work practices. The organization uses very little technology and facility operations are about 10-15 years behind (no resource management or QMS integration.....still doing things with handwritten paperwork). In addition the environment was environmentally toxic to work in.

    Advice to Management

Stabilize and restructure the HR department and get experienced individuals who are objective and who adhere to actual policies as well as hire the right people. Get with technology and implement a QMS system that integrates with production, quality, and inventory, etc
