I have been working at Molina Healthcare full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Some positions allow remote work, provides computer equipment, potential for growth, Fortune 500 company, provides opportunity for advancement, good benefits.

    Cons

Work/Life balance, some unethical leadership practices, created an environment that established low morale, expectation of greater than 40 working hours per week, expectation of night, weekend and holiday coverage, unrealistic productivity, most of the MD's are extremely difficult to work with.

    Advice to Management

The hiring/promotion processes of high end managers needs to be decided by more than one person, encourage a work/life balance to avoid burnout, provide support to production staff, utilize surveys or provide an escalation path for team members concerns that will avoid threatening or bullying tactics from the team members direct management.

I have been working at Molina Healthcare full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

The pay is awesome as well as the benefits and flexibility on work hours.

    Cons

the people that are hired to help are often more of a burden than an asset. Leadership does not listen, and they are often the problem. Work continues to get piled on the people that do the work, and the ones that are not the best employees are often babied and continue to bring the team down.

    Advice to Management

cut the people that are the bad seeds out or not beneficial to the team. Quit playing the bleeding heart cards and just let them go.

    Pros

The company mission and value is the reason I chose to work for the company. Love the ability to work remote.

    Cons

Some departments make p oor choice in staffing, they keep unskilled staff ( because they favor the employees or have a personal history with the staff) or more knowledgeable staff. There is also an abundance of director and hire staff and not enough line level staff.

    Advice to Management

The new CEO needs to really evaluate the reason people are leaving the company (prior to their recent layoffs) because people are leaving because of departmental management and not the CEO and the mission/vision of hte company

    Pros

The best thing about Molina is the people. They genuinely treat you well, and the politics are much more gentle than my previous employers.

    Cons

Molina is currently going through a tough time, and downsizing. If you're looking for an opportunity there, try after Oct 2017.

    Advice to Management

Do your best to keep the Molina family together as much as possible. The current situation is temporary, and was probably long overdue.

    Cons

Local leadership. Lack of consistency. Company going through a transformation right now.

    Advice to Management

Improvement in communication, even if it means speaking to the little people. Develop a strategy regarding process change to decrease the amount of wasted work, stress, and energy that could be better utilized.

    Pros

Fulfulling to work with the public and the mission and vision are great.

    Cons

Poor management staff, discriminitory, prejudice, incompetent, insecure, self servicing. Management does not live up to the vision and mission which is in reference to the population served and the employees. Management fails to follow policy and makes of rules as they go without policy in play and when it fails, they blame the HCS staff. Management failed to follow company policy of promoting from within and hires only their friends from their previous place of employment.

    Advice to Management

Be more open minded, pratice the skill of speaking to staff as adults with respect and dignity, be kind, stop acting off emotions, gain and exhabit confidence in your job duties

    Pros

    Pay and good coworkers.

    Cons

Hard to take time off in the call center. Also doesn't matter how much experience you have, to move up it's based on favoritism and how much butt you kiss. Not easy to move out the dept.
