I have been working at Molina Healthcare part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great encouragement for learning and communication. Business casual work environment and requires staff to be somewhat flexible to work with changes in the industry.

    Cons

Communication is a problem here at times. There are multiple ways to communicate from person to person, but systems vary and confuses people at times.

    Advice to Management

Communicate as detailed as you can, I know as a manager/superior roles can cause some to be very general, but it will end up costing you time and money of you don't articulate.

I worked at Molina Healthcare full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Work schedule hours are good, and work experiences are good.

    Cons

Horrible management. I worked for a group in which management has no structure, policies, processes and procedures in place. Management does hardly any planning and organization leading toward execution of technical works. On any assignments, no cleared requirements are provided and thus deliverable are delayed. Everything is done ad hoc with frequent changes which cause a lot of stress. Management have very few process documents for training purposes, and they don't emphasize to have staff to create documents. Teamwork among team members is weak because there are no teamwork activities.
Management does not set a good example to staff on showing up to work and meetings on time, and giving advanced notice on taking PTO.
Technical equipment such as projectors in conference rooms are old and/or broken. You spend a lot of time just looking for a conference room with working equipment for a meeting.
The CEO and CFO of company both got fired.
This is not a company to have a long term career.

    Advice to Management

Set and communicate your goals and direction to the team. Do your planning, organization to execute works. Do documentation for training purposes. Create opportunities for teamwork to build a strong team. Set a good example on showing up to work and meetings on time, and giving notice to take PTO for staff to follow.

    Pros

    Some co-workers are wonderful.
Amazing first time jobs to discover reality and range of situations.
Discovering what you do not want in your next job.
Grest are on the first floor to take breaks.
Clean, well taken care of building.

    Cons

The only way to get somewhere is to know someone in charge. Promotion has nothing to do with competence or experience.
Grossly undrepaid and overworked, and under appreciated workforce.
Some leaders are juvenile and have unpredictable personality - you never know what to expect.
Unresponsive HR, consciously "blind" to what takes place there.

    Advice to Management

Know that people here are not blind to your games. They are just playing along.
Go easy on hiring and promoting family and friends. Look at competence, not at family ties.
Appreciate the workers you have before they leave.

I worked at Molina Healthcare full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    401k, PTO, VTO, Tuition Reimbursement

    Cons

Unrealistic expectations for completing the job. Nepotism, favoritism, constant stress and pressure, no work /life balance, constant procedure changes that are not carefully thought-through before implementing. The firing of the founder's sons... whom were blindsided. Politics, politics, politics

    Advice to Management

Get back to the basics of the founders vision. It has been lost in the pursuit of financial Rewards for the corporation. Promote employees that actually deserve it based on work performance instead of favoritism.
