      Pros

Great, smart people who work hard and play hard. They value their employees and invest in learning and development opportunities.

      Cons

Changing industry landscape is reason for frequent corporate reorgs so job security is a bit questionable

      Overworked, Underappreciated, Entirely Political Atmosphere

      Pros

Free beer every month, discounts and cool merchandise. Good benefits & 401k. Your immediate team members are some of the best people around.

      Cons

Departmental leadership is awful. They refuse to acknowledge the supply chain is inherently flawed, that the ordering system is messed up. They assign work loads treating all states as equal, when some agents have 6 distributors and some 48+, and anticipate you to perform the same without exception. All the while leadership tells the smaller distributors they do not play favorites based on size, yet the do. Which constantly puts you in a position for failure and aggravated phone calls with people who are considered your business partners. Leadership (Supervisors & Up) are actively targeting employees across the department. This happened to me, and have heard from former colleagues it is now happening to them (these are people who are routinely going above and beyond). Avoid this department like the plague it is, other departments may be ok, but anything doing with Supply Chain, Logistics, or Customer Service is messed up and requires massive efforts to repair. All the while, top leadership will say the culture is improving, it is not which is really sad considering what the company went through just a little over a year and a half ago. By all accounts this used to be a fun & great place to work, people had long and successful careers here, that is no longer the case. Stay away.

Upper Management Thinks Beer is Made by Accident

      Pros

Free beer, name recognition, good benefits

      Cons

Where to begin...how about at the top. Their slogan for employees was "We all sell beer". That should have clued me in on the terrible job the upper management was at selling beer. Their brilliant idea was to say all of us were responsible for selling beer, thereby abdicating their roles. I don't even think upper management knew how the beer was made, it was a happy little accident! They thought it would be a good idea to get all the breweries on the same ERP system, good idea in theory. When implemented in one brewery, it shut it down for over a month. Then the company sued the software people, who then countersued saying management was incompetent. So after this boondoggle, they kept going! They shut down the Golden brewery for almost 6 weeks. Some people worked 7 days in the month of February. They couldn't work any other days because we couldn't get beer out the door, not even to bars across the street. The company steps over dollars to pick up donuts. Safety and preventative maintenance are preached...until it comes to actually paying for it. Then middle and upper management blame everyone under them for managements penny pinching. During my few years there, we went through 3 brewery operations managers and 2 VPs of the brewery. There's a reason those higher ups left, they realized the emperor has no clothes.
