I have been working at Moment full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Moment has all the right priorities in terms of growth opportunities, culture, and work. There is a deep sense of care and support for each other, a ton of mentorship and professional development opportunities, and lots of effort put into making sure everyone is happy and engaged in their work. The projects are often challenging, but the sense of shared ownership and camaraderie that teams have when pushing towards a final goal makes the process rewarding and meaningful.

    Cons

We have a few late nights sometimes, but that's pretty standard of the industry and New York in general from what I can tell.

I have been working at Moment full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The management team at Moment so genuinely believes that the success of the company hinges on the development of its people at all levels. The company invests an unprecedented amount of time and energy into individual growth and mentorship. They are constantly organizing new skill workshops, open critiques and opportunities for individualized feedback, mentorship and support as individuals step into new skill areas and positions of leadership.

The role of designer at Moment is broad in scope and gives you ample opportunity to expand into new areas. Not only is there no formal differentiation between visual designers and experience designers, but designers also act as consultants and everyone is client facing right out of the gates. If you're interesting in developing any of the skill sets, Moment is a perfect place to make that leap.

The work itself is challenging, complex and diverse and the people are everything you could every want from a group of coworkers. Smart, open, supportive, fun.

Overall, Moment is an absolutely amazing place to work. I highly recommend Moment.

    Cons

    Honestly, nothing.

The benefits package is very good -- all the major pieces are there. I believe what they offer us a very standard PTO package (10 days a year plus national holidays)... Only wish would be to have more PTO each year to get out of the city.

    Advice to Management

I'd love to see the company continue to expand the range of work that we do. Banking / financial service projects are super interesting, but also quite enjoy other consumer facing industries / products.

I have been working at Moment full-time

    Pros

Moment is big on mentorship and learning. It's a great place for young designers to start out their career.

    Cons

Salaries could be more competitive. Not much room to climb the ladder.

I worked at Moment (More than a year)

    Pros

Wonderful, smart mentors. Fun coworkers. An awesome beer fridge.

    Cons

Like many NYC companies, the work is a mix of exciting innovation, and projects that generate revenue to keep the lights on. This isn't a con so much a reality of any business. Even the more boring projects are made fun by a great team and fun culture.

    Advice to Management

    You guys rock!

I worked at Moment as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great internship program - great mix of client work and a bluesky project that is open for personal portfolio use.
Amazing mentorship, guidance and support from everyone right from onboarding to post exit.
Ample training and learning opportunities outside of work.
Being stimulated and having fun in the context of work and outside of work is a given - All the individuals that work here ( from the designers to the ops and support) are multi-talented and super smart.
    Great social events
    Breakfast, Snacks and drinks
Really nice office in the middle of SOHO!

    Cons

New york is very expensive to stay in over the summer and the intern compensation is ok.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you are doing and grow

"How it is to work at Moment?"

    Pros

It's a wonderful place to start your career and develop your leadership skills. You get many opportunities to contribute and have a say on the way the company works. Moment is nurturing, open, very collaborative and keeps you accountable in your career goals. You will grow a ton in a very short time and the environment although fast pace with high expectations is very welcoming.

    Cons

Depending on which project you work on you may need to work long hours to get your work done. This usually happens the day before a client meeting.

    Advice to Management

There are five principals who run the company in addition to the directors. Each one has a very different working style so you will get a very different experience by working with each of them. They are all nice, humble, hard working people.

Really talented partners, with a focus on producing absolutely stellar work.

    Cons

Lack of growth opportunities, and sometimes poor follow through with work after it is handed of to the clients, although this greatly depends on the client.

    Advice to Management

Keep on doing what you're doing.
