I worked at MoneyGram International full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Lots of really good and friendly people
    Big, international organization
    Unusual ethnic flavour
If you want to do something there is usually a way

    Cons

In case of personnel problems, managers don't know how to handle it, there is no competence. HR is only doing administration for themselves and legally needed. Lack of mentorship, senior managers are only busy keeping their jobs not growing or supporting own people. Lots of play and cheat.

    Advice to Management

Grow your management to the international corporate standard. Online trainings are not answer to everything. Looking for buyer or waiting for merger is not one either.

    Pros

Good PTO. Decent benefits. Nice location by West End shops.

    Cons

No room for advancement in MN unless IT. Upper management focus on metrics and not people and staff. Micro managed.

    Advice to Management

It's no all about numbers and metrics against people unless it's consistent across all departments and clearly is not. Team members are not appreciated, it's doesn't seem like it's ever good enough. Favoritism is present.
