    Pros

Generally great corporate culture, clearly trying hard to be a top-quality company to work for, excellent recognition of work-life balance.

    Cons

Select individuals get away with a surprising level of high-school-like behavior in the workplace. And less of an issue here than at other companies I've worked for, but MG also suffers from the IT administrative habits of upholding bad processes just to keep the company blood pumping without actually fixing the way things are done for the long-term.

    Advice to Management

Encourage knowledge-sharing and cross-training more among the IT division, with particular emphasis on sharing upper management's philosophy throughout the teams they manage (that is, get everyone on the same page, but do so via knowledge & teamwork, as force and "because I said so" rules are usually counterproductive).

I have been working at MoneyGram International full-time

    Pros

Great benefits, generous vacation time, good pay, understanding managers for great work/life balance. Company throws events during the summer which is nice. The people are generally good and easy to work with across the board, there are always going to be difficult people everywhere you go...

    Cons

Needs to invest more in infrastructure to improve the health of the company. Politics can play a roll with certain leaders, but again you get that anywhere you go.

    Advice to Management

Invest in your people. There are a lot of good people that work at MGI but the company can be very demanding on everyone.

I have been working at MoneyGram International full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Management gives autonomy in your job. Executive leadership trying to increase communication efforts and cares. A lot of new and talented people coming in.

    Cons

Culture of keeping things secret and throwing under the bus. While not career damaging and mostly just frustrating a lot of people working towards making it better and it's noticeable. Still some organizational challenges from the amount of restructuring overseas and to Dallas.

    Advice to Management

Transparency while getting better can improve, but realize challenges with the size of the organization.
