I worked at MoneyGram International full-time

    Pros

Motivated Happy People Generally fun respectful work environment

    Cons

Many financial cutbacks in recent years. This resulted in a significant cut in employee recognition and celebrations. Stock price kept going down, so company decided to lay off 700 US-based people. This was a financial decision, but it was painful because (previous) CEO continued to be one of the highest paid CEOs in the U.S. and continued to make millions in salary and enormous bonuses. Significant cuts were also made to customer service quality and employee training. Little investment was made to improve systems and the service suffered. It seemed to be cut cut cut so she could earn earn earn.

    Advice to Management

Spread the wealth. Invest in employee training and systems so the customer gets a better experience and employees feel more prepared.
