    Cons

There is a Chinese maxim: "Eating Bitterness." It is a Chinese phrase for enduring hardship. It means to endure something unpleasant in good humor. Or to continue despite difficulties in a general phrase of encouragement meaning to stay focused. You will need to eat some bitterness in Weston these days.

Companies buy other companies to take money out of them, not to put money into them, and that is exactly what Randstad has done.

Every six months there’s a new guy in charge with a plan to turn Monster around and there are layoffs and the rest of the employees are told to run and paddle on the other side of the boat. So we run. Six months later there’s a new guy with a new plan, be it whiteboarding to clients OVER THE PHONE or some other cockamamie idea and we all have to run over to the other side of the boat and row that way. The boat is afloat in the middle of the pond and there is no captain to be found.

There is very little sales or sales management training and the Regional Sales Managers in Weston are all new to management except for one. Any experienced sales person is going to experience some frustration being managed like a telemarketer by these green peas.

If you keep your trap shut and hit 80%+ of your goal you can make decent money and no one yells at you.

If you have a brain in your head and some level of sophistication about advertising, recruiting, and customer service, this job will, at times, require a lot more “Eating Bitterness” than it did in the past.

    Advice to Management

Clients don't like losing good account managers. You might consider some type of employee retention plan.
