I have been working at Montash full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

I have been with Montash for over 5 years and have progressed through the organisation quicker than my peers in competing organisations. This is a result of Montash leadership, training, individual work-ethic and the environment to thrive as a leader. Montash is a fast paced, working environment with a forward thinking meritocratic management style. We have multiple career paths for individuals to chose from best suited to their skill-set which is identified through training and progression from day 1. Individuals have options to progress into management at a young age, account management or simply progress as an individual biller - all of which can earn salaries bigger than 90% of the city. Aside from a competitive commission structure which can earn you six figures early on in your career, added Perks to Montash include Tailor Made Suit, Rolex Club, 2x Yearly Holidays, Fruit Bowl, Christmas Vacation, External Training & Development, Annual Sports day and Quarterly incentives (i.e. ipads/tv etc.)

    Cons

Struggled to think of any personally other than those you will find in any high-paying, well rewarded agency; Hard work-ethic and hours to match, corporate environment, no dress-down Friday's. Montash is not the place for those wanting a mundane 09.00-17.00 job with earnings that would match. Montash very much advocate an entrepreneurial environment whereby what you put in

I have been working at Montash full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great incentives such as: Fully paid for holidays abroad twice a year A work phone Monthly lunch clubs Suit club - A tailor made suite is made to celebrate a juniors promotion to Consultant Montash offer lots of incentives but expect 110% back from everyone which I feel is fair. If you're happy to go on a fully paid for holidays twice a year, have fully paid for lavish meals at 5* restaurants, then you have to put in the graft during the week!!

    Cons

In any job you have to work hard and recruitment requires dedication and the input of long hours, that's the reality of the job. If you feel you want a cushy 9-5 and still want to earn 70k at the age of 23 then that's not really realistic. However if you want to earn 70k by the age of 23 and you're willing to work 10-12 hour days Monday to Thursday, and you're willing to go the extra mile then you will have an awesome lifestyle for many years to come and Montash provide an amazing platform for success :)

I have been working at Montash full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

The commission structure is OK. Free Fruit and breakfast on a Fridays Recruitment training is great, i learnt a lot about candidate management and how to master the recruitment process with as little possible screw ups as possible. Senior management although extremely rude and arrogant do happen to have very good recruitment skills.

    Cons

Management are extremely rude, sexist, fascist, racist people. you will be sworn at, treated like a child and spoken to as if you are sheer human scum. The hours you are expected to work are ridiculous, even for recruitment standards! 8-7 as standard then if you leave during your contracted hours you will be sent threatening emails and text messages from senior management on your way home. Team structure is ridiculous, certain departments will have targets that are much more achievable, where as other divisions expectations are unrealistic due to turn over time and process. Basic salary is very low with little chance to improve, yes you can earn commission, but there is no gestrure of goodwill to the hardworking staff who want a higher guaranteed income as well

I worked at Montash full-time for less than a year

    Pros

After serious thought process came to conclusion there isn't one!

    Cons

From where to start! Highly political & creepy work culture. Discriminatory & preferential treatment & so does their commission packages. Just don't get carried away by website, offices, location & other material attributes.

I worked at Montash full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Good website Good training Nice people Breakfast on a Friday (although due to budget cuts, 1 filling as opposed to previous 3) Linkedin pro Nice lunch trendy new office

    Cons

They say that recruitment has a high turnover as an industry and no company displays this more vividly than Montash. Montash struggle to retain people due to a combination of poor salaries, an uncrossable void between middle and senior management and the constant desire to instill poor ethics on their staff. Lieing, cheating and money grabbing is a must to stay at Montash. If you enjoy being chained to your desk from 7:30 - 12:30 then 1:30 -6:30 without the ability to have a break for anything except going to the loo then this is the company for you. Sadly due to the high turnover and hire and fire mentality of the company, they have seen the quality of staff deplete as the company tries to grow. Whereas previously the company focused on employing individuals coming from a strong intellectual background who held an opinion, the more recent approach has been to focus on numbers and some of the more recent hires reflect this point quite vividly. "Executive Headhunters for Global organisations" is in reality, individuals who know relatively little about any specific area but have mastered the use of a job board. There are obviously exceptions to this with there being some extremely competent recruiters at Montash. There is undoubtedly money to be made at the company and if you are willing to put your morals to one side then this might be the place for you. Saying that, there is a reason why the firm has only got 3 senior members of staff........ people don't stay and progress at Montash. The salaries are below average, the commission scheme is one of the worst in the market and as a player, they aren't anywhere near the league that the new website suggests. To compare Montash as a Headhunting firm to the likes of Korn Ferry is laughable. So to conclude, the MD has a great sales pitch, he definitely had me believing that this was a great company with amazing career prospects. The MD s a good salesman but in terms of Montash as a firm, in my view it's not going anywhere and many of the quality recruiters who won some of the larger accounts have left the firm to move on to pastures greener. The senior management are strong business winners but are egotistical and the structure is such that it is nigh on impossible to reach their levels.

I have been working at Montash full-time for more than a year

    Pros

So meritocratic, if you work hard you get rewarded. Cool new offices Lunch clubs Incentives Management easy to talk to They actually listen to staff They appreciate that different people work at different rates and they accommodate to this

    Cons

People complaining clearly couldn't handle the environment, it can be cut throat at times and you do have targets to work to. Most of the negative reviews are from people who think that they are fantastic and have no room to improve. Montash is about building people and allowing them to grow, part of that means constructive criticism and training. People who think they are the best cannot handle the heat and should stay way out of the Montash kitchen.

I have been working at Montash

    Pros

I work here now and have done for over 2 years. I have read the reviews, which are clearly from a disgruntled ex-employee that failed. Most the people that have left here did so because they weren't up to scratch and have not gone on to be successful in recruitment. If you don't pull your weight here and want to mess around rather than work you are not going to succeed. Meritocratic, open, motivational, good career, awesome new offices

    Cons

Competitive environment where you need to pull your weight...

I worked at Montash full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Free fruit and a breakfast on Friday.

    Cons

Is it ironic that as soon as the truth starts to come out about this company with over 100% turnover in staff, 3 positive articles are published with high views of Montash. The first point to notice is that they are all current employees, stuck in the Montash bubble and cannot tear themselves away from the free fruit bowl topped up twice a week. They have not left Montash. Yes, some people are fired as in all honesty, they can't hack it, but many others have been very successful, realised the potentially and far superior opportunities out on the market and have taken them. The reviews below are all written to counteract a negative review of Montash and the three positive reviews came out in quick succession of each other, two on the same day, one two days later. Strange huh? Not a single review was written from a current or ex-employee who generally had a good thing to say. Yeah a new office is great, but it does not conclude that it is a great business.
