    Advice to Management

Instead of magnifying mistakes, how about taking the time to appreciate how employees go above and beyond to help our underserved population??? Revamp the entire management team and bring in some fresh eyes with open minds and perspectives. Even management tells employees that the Contact Center is not a place to grow! You expect the liaisons to meet unreasonable expectations, while failing to provide the appropriate resources needed to get the job done!

Also, the contact center and the sites are supposed to work together, yet it seems that they’re always throwing each other under the bus. How can we be throwing each other under the bus when we are all one entity that’s supposed to be working together??? We work to serve an underserved population, and it’s unfortunate that management just can’t seem to get it together to provide exceptional patient care. Patients consistently inform us that they will be leaving Montefiore after being patients there for over 10 or even 20 years. And why is that?

It’s because of how things are done by management. The lack of communication, appointment availability, provider access, and accountability. Montefiore has the potential to be a great organization, but with such a damaged infrastructure, who knows how long it will take before they actually accomplish their vision/mission in becoming the “premier contact center”? (Speaking for the contact center only, not Montefiore in its entirety.)

    1. Replace the entire management team
    2. Provide a standard that applies to both the contact center and the sites (one rule CANNOT apply to one site, while it is dismissed at another.)
    3. Listen to your employees when they are voicing a concern, and provide the appropriate resources they need in order to do their jobs
    4. Show your employees that you really and truly appreciate what they do everyday. A small and simple gesture, like “thank you” makes a HUGE difference, and goes a long way. Just try it!
    5. Hire more customer service liaisons and providers! You are losing both current and potential patients because of the lack of appointment availability. You can understand why a patient who has been here for over 20 years decides to leave because they have to wait 6 months to see their provider?? Come on man...
    6. Implement these ideas and I believe you’ll see a difference within 3 months...

    Pros

The union benefits are good... and offer tuition assistance if you want to continue your education some of the people you work with are good people with the same goal in mind

    Cons

no room for growth... very poor Management
You can only move up if you are “favored” constantly over worked and under staffed. major lack of training there are employees constantly doing the work the wrong way.. and nothing is said.., so you will pick up the slack for them

    Advice to Management

You cannot advise Management... they are stuck in their ways
