    Cons

Employees need to be open to change, as the company is constantly evolving (for the better!).

I have been working at Montrose Environmental Group full-time

    Pros

Working with great people, many who are highly skilled and specialized in their work, you will learn a lot. It can be fast paced and will keep you on your toes but I enjoy that. Good opportunities for advancement. Positive mission.

    Cons

It's a fast growing company which causes some growing pains, but they do put effort into addressing problems and updating processes.

    Pros

Interesting work with decent pay. Every day is different. Provides the ability to learn many skills in both an industrial and office atmosphere.

    Cons

Requires lopsided work/life balance at many times throughout the year.

    Advice to Management

Don't fix it until it's broken.

I have been working at Montrose Environmental Group full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Opportunity to travel and see places most people never know about. Corporate really does seem to care about the employees. There is a good balance of working both outdoors and in an office setting. The field is constantly evolving which can offer good challenges to a motivated employee. Montrose is on the cutting edge of that evolution.

    Cons

The work can be physically demanding. There can be a lot of travel for new employees. Communication between management and employees is sometimes lacking.

I have been working at Montrose Environmental Group full-time

    Pros

Paid travel, Paid time off, Lots of overtime

    Cons

Lots of overtime, some toxic coworkers, nepotism, mostly underpaid workers. Higher-ups want to pay as little as possible hourly, don't like workers advancing to positions without their approval

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees and take what they say seriously. Reward hard work and personal advancement, do not punish it.

    Pros

Management values the stack testing group. The benefits package is very competitive. The company has a wealth of industry and testing expertise.

    Cons

    Peak periods are very busy

    Advice to Management

Continue to spend time and resources to improve our communications with employees and clients during very busy periods.

I have been working at Montrose Environmental Group full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Benefits and Personal Time Off policies are better than anywhere I have ever worked. Very young company experiencing rapid growth; along with that comes career opportunities based on an individuals motivation and desire to advance. Every day brings new challenges and every project is different. Good job for someone with a strong technical aptitude, who may enjoy interfacing with clients and something different every day and enjoys the opportunity to work freely with little immediate oversight.

    Cons

Quite a bit of travel; a lot of overtime; unpredictable schedules; long days in the field. Because Montrose is a new and developing company, many processes and policies are in continuous development. For the most part - the company listens to the feedback from employees - and strives to create the best working environment possible with the limitations of the job/environment requirements.

*Fast growing company leads to growth potential for employees.

    *Bonus program.

    Cons

*Fast growing companies inevitably have to work out administrative and process kinks as they go.

I have been working at Montrose Environmental Group full-time

    Pros

Benefits are good, PTO is good and the hard working teams you get to work with.

    Cons

Montrose had a great opportunity to grow and build a great organization. The focus on revenue and the lack of empathy for its people, chaotic processes and systems destroyed any confidence I and many others have in the organization. The arrogance of the CEO and his leadership group is driving all the good people out and replacing them with puppets who dare not question them. HR needs to be independent and support the people who work hard every day to pay their wages.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your people, you wouldn't be here without us. Don't talk about company values if you don't have any.
