    I worked at Moody's full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Most the people that work there are intelligent, experienced and high quality

    Cons

A little rigid and not as empowering to employees and flexible as it could be.

    Advice to Management

Time to change with the times. Working from home, being a little flexible adds the personal touch and people would stay longer. Also clearer messaging from leaders would help.

I have been working at Moody's full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Some nice people. Very diverse environment. Good learning place for juniors but work is very uninteresting for the most part.

    Cons

Will take 5 times as long to progress and pay is terrible relative to length of service. They like to hire senior level candidates and place them at graduate level ranks. Consequently there is lots of turnover. Most people who still are here are so because they have yet to find an escape.

    Advice to Management

Look at your hiring practices and stop causing inevitable issues.

    Pros

Moody's investor services has a good location for its London office in Canary Wharf aprox, 2 mins from canary wharf london underground station Jubliee line.

    Cons

Moody's investor services canteen which is called Foody's investor services is not the best but is better than some other food places around the area.

    Advice to Management

My advice to management at Moodys investor services will be to improve the food at Foody's, and look to promote people within the company and not externally.

    Cons

A bit sleepy, bureaucratic and stuffy. It takes a while to get established and navigate the hierarchy. Not very agile and stuck in its ways

    I have been working at Moody's full-time

    Pros

Systemically important work in a dynamic environment. Very diverse culture and global outlook. Brilliant training opportunities.

    Cons

no cons so far into my career to note. I couldn't think of a better place to be in the early stages of my career...

    Advice to Management

should look into offering staff flexi-time to improve the work life balance. Other than that, I haven't seen anything thus far that I'd change.

I worked at Moody's (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The employees at Moody's are very knowledgeable, talented and on the most part pleasant to work with. Your opinions are treated with respect and sought after on a regular basis.

    Cons

It is very difficult to get work done, particularly in EMEA, away from the major decision makers. The same issues that existed when I started 5 years ago still existed on the day that I left, despite them being discussed on a regular basis.

Flexible working is limited to working from home or very rarely given. Moody's is a very cautious company, and this extends to flexible working, there is a lack of imagination to see how flexible working can work better.

    Advice to Management

Policies that work for the US don't necessarily work for the UK or the rest of the world. Other companies embrace new ideas much quicker.

    I worked at Moody's full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Little investment in formal training but great 'on the job' learning ground if you are relatively early in your career.
In the main, people are nice and the HR department in London is quite sociable.
Diverse organisation from a cultural perspective and huge progress made in the diversity space over the last few years.

    Cons

The HR leadership team in New York are a disaster. Having embarked on an HR transformation, they are now unwinding it due to poor execution.

Complete lack of transparency around how decisions are made, and incompetent people in NY are consistently promoted in to senior positions because they are part of the 'clique'.

    Advice to Management

Time to change up senior HR management.
Remember that you have talented employees outside of the US.
