    Pros

Moog culture discourages berating and criticizing employees, so you can expect to be treated with respect. Time off for personal needs is flexible and readily available. Employees are treated quite well.

    Cons

The culture can allow poorer performing employees to persist, at times hindering worthy efforts. Change is not always embraced, again acting as a hinderance.

    Advice to Management

Integrate more accountability with the current culture.

    Pros

Supportive work environment. If I move back to Western NY I will definitely go back to Moog. My managers and co-workers were great. Great technologies

    Cons

Didn't care much for the weather in East Aurora NY; also there was competition for resources between programs and departments that could cause aggravation if your program wasn't deemed the most important.

    Advice to Management

Continue with the minimal hierarchy principles.

    Pros

They value people who are self directed and give them the freedom to explore ideas

    Cons

Company is growing faster than it can adapt at times

I have been working at Moog full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

The people at all levels are great. A great culture of mutual trust and respect.

    Cons

There is a lack of training for new individuals.

  5. "Interesting work"

    Pros

The mission statement is very nice. The people in human resources were approachable. This company is amongst the best companies I have worked for and there are few of those, unfortunately. The work was interesting and I was never bored.

    Cons

The pay was a bit low for my occupation, but I could easily understand that. It was, however, a wage I could survive on and put money in the bank with.

    Advice to Management

I can't think of anything. I had a great supervisor, though, that was an expert in his field. That was helpful in learning my job.

I worked at Moog full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Pay is excellent, working conditions are immaculate, management is very knowledgable and always willing to assist you. Their product line is Aerospace products, industrial products, and Space and Defense. They are a Fortune 500 company and growing. Health benefits are very good, 401K contributor. Highly recognized in the Aerospace Industry

    Cons

I cannot see any at this time.

    Advice to Management

None at this time, they are doing just fine as an Aerospace Company

I worked at Moog full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Benefits are good, and the ability to pursue personal growth is great if people were more aware of the option.

    Cons

Moog does not allow tele-commute, nor does it offer 4/10 with alternating days off. Moog should offer more than the 3% annual raise, considering the cost of living is very expensive in Southern California.

    Advice to Management

Focusing on metrics stagnates Moog's potential growth nationally and abroad.

I have been working at Moog full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great coworkers, bosses, atmosphere and attitudes. Hard work is appreciated and rewarded. I admittedly started in the midst of some health and personal problems, and was given dozens of chances to redeem myself. My former employer and employees would have torn me apart, but the "moogers" helped me rebuild my confidence in my skills, and my new position. I am and always will be grateful. Pay and bennies are better than I've ever received doesn't hurt either.

    Cons

Only one I personally have is I'm used to doing multiple operations, and seeing my work from start to finish, as I now am doing finishing work as a rule. Lot of pressure if I make a mistake, but bosses aren't looking to pin blame, or embarrass you, unlike my former employer.

    Advice to Management

From what I've read on this site, maybe acknowledgement of the lesser skilled positions employees, although I am unaware of it's existence.

    Cons

    Advice to Management

    Be more consistent

    Pros

Moog is a true America company. They have an amazing organization and truly take care of their employees. The facilities are well equipped not resource starved.

    Cons

Some of the challenges are the Buffalo culture. The general buffalo traffic is not great. East Aurora if wonderful though so you may not need to go to Buffalo often.
