I worked at Moore Stephens Singapore full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Nothing at all except it located in CBD area

    Cons

    - Work goes unrecognised and unappreciated if you making some small mistakes (expect the fresh grad to know how to do full sets of audit) - Senior or manager doesn’t helpful at all (don’t even teach you how to do and they only know how to scold people without appreciation) - Cannot get sick during working days (take Mc also need approval) - Expectation too high and overload of work for staff due to lack of... manpower - Comparing working papers to big four and expect staff to produce the same quality in a very low Budget - Tight working schedule and expect high quality of work ( they anyhow scheduled you for job assignment and never care how much job you have currently) - Strict timesheet and hard to get leave for holidays ( boss will give attitude) - Old computers ( the whole computer system is very slow and lagging, especially Excel, normally will restart without autosave and make staff doing double work all the time. Battery only stay for 5 mins and need to charge it all the time.)

    Advice to Management

Please change all computers for god sake. All staff are having real hard time during fieldwork. Young or senior management should at least treat audit staff with more basic respect and appreciation. If not, turnover will getting higher and the company will get more and more bad reviews here.

I have been working at Moore Stephens Singapore full-time

    Pros

    Nothing good is happening here.

    Cons

All staffs working/worked in MS know that they get bad reviews on Glassdoor. The management is aware of this and they make their HR or even partners to write the good comments in Glassdoor. Management is deceitful as always and they are just painting a false picture here as nobody wants to join them.

    Advice to Management

    Be ethical.

    Pros

    - No pros at all.

    Cons

    - Top management treat employees like trash, shout vulgarities and throw things at employees face, humiliate staff to the max, even with a smallest mistakes. - Expect you to work like a slave and they don't value their staff. - Extremely high turnover rate, either you can't stand the job or they just anyhow fire you. -No HR manager presence for years as owner has the final say, employees' right is at stake. -... It's family business, they make all the decisions like child's play. - Empty promises.

    Negative Outlook

I worked at Moore Stephens Singapore full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Some colleagues are kind and friendly.

    Cons

    (1) all kind of negative words once the management is opening the mouth. (2) typical traditional / no change is allowed. 3) junior staff is encouraged to bypass the senior and go direct to management to submit their compliant. (4) Senior management made a mistake, e.g in breach of certain regulation, quietly sweep under the table but staff who made typo mistakes and quoted outdated info, can be scolded/blamed... like nobody business. (5) unfair terms of employment, to pay back one month salary if you resign during the first month of probation. To serve one month written notice if you resign on second or third month of probation period. (5) no leave, medical or general staff benefits when you are under probation. (6) pay day last day of the month. (7) no merci if you make any mistakes (not a single mistake). You will be called as having problems in technical capabilities. (8) you are expected to contribute your life once you joined them. (9) you are not allowed to suggest any single change to anything about the company, not even diff font and color in one single email. You are just a puppet to do what they want, they do not want to see you have any single idea in anything. (10) senior management is not willing to help staff settling in. (11) senior management likes to make changes to the correct English to the wrong one. (12) no matter what efforts you have put in, you will be ignored. (13) no concept of privacy, no respect of those who came and interviewed, openly discussed the background and profile of the interviewees including their expected pay with people. I dont think the company deserve even a star.
