    Pros

The co-workers were amazing people. I miss them a lot. Very diverse group and made me happy to work everyday.

    Cons

Since I was a student employee I was at minimum wage, but there really was no cons I can think of.

    Advice to Management

You have done a great job hiring and training employees for orientation. The orientation process has been revamped so much and over the years it has gotten significantly better thanks to all of you.

I worked at Moraine Valley Community College part-time

    Pros

Nice campus and would be a wonderful place to work for if it wasn't for the "cons" listed below

    Cons

Upper management doesn't value part timers and they are treated poorly in many instances. Only community college that I know of that doesn't promote from within.

    Advice to Management

Value your part timers; fair pay for same work as full timers; promote from within

I have been working at Moraine Valley Community College part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The staff and students are nice. Students are eager to learn and are very respectful. Close to home. Evening classes are offered.

    Cons

Faculty are overworked. Need to hire more of adjunct faculty to pick up some of the workload from full time faculty. Parking sucks!!

I have been working at Moraine Valley Community College full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Awesome place to work. Culture is great. Most administrators and staff are willing to help out and jump in when needed.

    Cons

Administrative change has caused micro managing and low morale.

    Advice to Management

Look at your departments and listen to staff when providing input. It is not throwing under the bus, it is a business, which has to go on.
