I worked at Morgan Communities full-time

    Pros

Friendly co-workers, some communities are nice. The PTO benefit is generous.

    Cons

Owners don't care about the day to day operation of the community, only about the bottom line. They fail to realize the people that work in their communities are THE most important resource they have.

    Advice to Management

Pay attention! Reward hard work and loyalty instead of letting great people leave.

I worked at Morgan Communities (More than a year)

    Pros

PTO is generous if you get time to use it. There are some great people are the property levels to work with.

    Cons

To much micro management, rules change by the day and are not communicated. They don't care about there properties just the money. You must ask yourself why is there so much turn over???

    Advice to Management

Think realistically and treat people realistic, it is the manager and tenants that keeps the money coming, it starts at property level first

I have been working at Morgan Communities full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Nice property , friendly co-workers

    Cons

Very low 2% annual raises, no 401k match, expensive and low end health insurance that increases annually, upper management micro manages and is starting to higher from the outside, policy and procedure constantly changes and it's almost impossible to keep up with, stingy CEO i.e. no holiday bonus, low ball commission structure comparatively speaking, no full pay for weekend hours even though other companies in the area pay you a full 8 hours, little to no training for property managers if you do decide to take the plunge.

    Advice to Management

Give us a 401k match and stop blowing smoke year after year, it is getting really old. Also, 2% raises from the leading property management firm in the area is flat out insulting. Stop being such money grubbing buffoons.

    Cons

Compensation for managers should be based on property size and experience.

I have been working at Morgan Communities full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Morgan Management aka Morgan Communities is a great company to work for. I have enjoyed 3 yrs with the company and very excited about our future! I've read through most of the reviews and don't recognize any of the plight the others describe—except the comment about the outdated system. However, in July 2016 our company took the expensive plunge and upgraded the technology platform by rolling out Yardi across the portfolio. Technology can be a curse and a blessing...helpful and disruptive. Quite frankly it also has a short shelf life as far as the investment is involved. In other words, it ain't cheap!

Morgan Management has done wonders for my career, my work-home life balance and provides everything from housing, to income to experience for myself and my family.

    Cons

No 401k match currently available for employees.

    Advice to Management

Simply, invest in the 401k match.

I have been working at Morgan Communities full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Comparable pay per industry standards, but very dependant on property/investor. Generous PTO.

    Cons

Site level employees (the source of income) have no support and no respect. Attention is given only to criticize. New responsibilities and priorities given from every direction but no training or support to get it done. Everyone seemingly stretched so thin that they are not able to effectively and thoughtfully do their job. Training has improved, but is still pitiful at best. No real investment in anyone and it shows. Employees are frustrated, nobody knows, nobody cares, nobody has time. Benefits are out of reach for most employees. No 401k match. Cohesion, consistency, and communication are NON EXISTENT.

    Advice to Management

Pick a policy and adhere consistently. Ask for input from strong on-site staff how things work. know the laws of the states you are doing business in. Invest and train!!! Test and understand programs and software before haulting all production on the property with another blind rollout FAIL.

"Aweful. Terrible Company to Work For"

I worked at Morgan Communities full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Salary was decent, but low for experienced. Some at corporate office are nice to work with when you need to do so.

    Cons

Salary low, not equal to all employees. Some get 20% off on rent, while others get more than 50% up to free housing. If you leave with notice and fulfill it, you will receive your earned PTO. If they do so, without any reason or cause...you'll work your tail off and have not $ to live because they will steal it from you. No support from upper management. You will not be mentored or helped, if they tell you they will...it's a lie. They do not match 401k, only you contribute if you can afford to do so.

    Advice to Management

Owners: Find a better team to actually take care of your employees. Demands without support will lead to frustration as well as stealing their EARNED PAID TIME OFF, is just that...Stealing. Pay your people, they worked hard, long hours and then you STEAL from them? Ethics and Integrity are not the values you show.

    Pros

There are absolutely zero pros for this management company.

    Cons

Highly unorganized from all facets of the company, horrible training, upper management is a complete joke, hard work does not pay off with this organization.

    Pros

It is a good place to gain some kind of experience. The company honors employee discounts, which is good if you live on property.

    Cons

Lack of communication. Corporate doesn't invest in it's employees. Benefits are very expensive. 3 day training on a phone with no actual hands on info. Training comes weeks after you've picked up most of what is shown to you on the phone. Expect you to sell..sell...sell..when they don't put money into the properties. Behind on payments for vendors, Disorganized and dysfunctional etc....

    Advice to Management

Wouldn't matter, it goes on deaf ears. Communication, invest in your employees and properties. Provide better training.

    Pros

The only pro is that you can get hired pretty easily with 0 qualifications.

    Cons

No training. No structure. No team work. Bad management. Everyone lies to the superior all the way up to the owners. It has a horrible work environment. They're willing to do unethical things.

    Advice to Management

    Have better values.
