I worked at Morgan Stanley full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Professional working environment.
Benefit package is good, decent health plan although the premiums can be very expensive if you rarely use it. This is a good health plan for someone who uses it a lot.

    Cons

Could use more days off. Folks need to understand that when they get hard for operations, they stay in operations. There is no transfer between this and other departments of the company.

    Advice to Management

Some of the staff would like to move over to the other side, this should be discussed prior to hiring

I worked at Morgan Stanley full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Benefits are good. I'd say the money is okay but the rampant sexism and overwhelming number of alpha males doesnt even make moderately ok money worth it.

    Cons

Everything. Overworked, underappreciated. Management has no direction and gives the same while dishing plenty on fellow employees including your same-level colleagues and even your managers. Completely unprofessional in every way. No career opportunities for anyone unless you are a young and attractive woman that the team department head likes to hit on ... in front of everyone.

    Advice to Management

Learn how to work with people and utilize their skill sets to help them grow.

I worked at Morgan Stanley part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Company moral was always high. People enjoyed coming into work.

    Cons

As an intern there was not much going on that we were able to help with. A lot of what we did consisted of cold calling and looking for leads.

    Advice to Management

Give the interns a real shot to make an impact. Young minds have fresh perspectives that can be of extreme value to any company.
