I worked at Morgan Stanley for more than a year

    Pros

So many things I liked about this company. Yes, the hours are long but employees have many perks. Felt pampered even as a contract employee. Caring leadership, friendly staff and many ally groups, diverse staff, many volunteer opportunities, remote work days, access to great professional development courses and speaker events, beautiful offices, well-stocked kitchens (free milk, coffee, tea. coco, etc.)

    Cons

Overall, a well-run company. Still, I was surprised by how inefficiently they ran things in my section and the outdated systems used by our team. Lack of investment in newer systems. Being cheap can cost you precious time, and we all know time is money. Other than that, the usual cons: no overtime for insane work hours; minimal initial training, insecure mid-level manager who will throw the lowest ranking people under the bus to save face for their own ineptness. The bad apples are in every company.

I have been working at Morgan Stanley full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Flexibility in work hours, sick leaves Decent benefits compared to a lot of small companies

    Cons

Too much politics. No growth mainly because of Biased senior management. Salary is average but working hours are long.
