    Pros

The flexible time off as well as flexible and laid back environment.

    Cons

Low compensation for the amount of hours and work put in weekly

    Advice to Management

Keep a better eye on how things are being organized and run in the office as far as when projects are assigned vs. when they or if they have been completed. There needs to be a middle man between client and designer. Not all work should be thrown on the design staff after a sale has been made.

I have been working at MorningStar Media Group full-time

    Pros

I have worked at MorningStar for over ten years and I can't imagine working anywhere else. I work with the most creative, talented and hard working people I know. I produce work for our clients that I know is exceptional and I genuinely love my job. The owner of the company is the hardest working person at the company and he recognizes the importance of a healthy work/life balance.

    Cons

We are very busy, you need to be a self starter and a hard worker to be successful here. We do not have a lot of structures, but for most of us, that is a good thing.

    Pros

A great place to learn and further your skills in your field. If you want to learn and honestly do your best, you will be rewarded and respected.

    Cons

Sometimes pressured to produce low quality and rushed work.

I have been working at MorningStar Media Group full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great people to work with. Sense of family and comradery. If you work hard, you are taken care of, given opportunities to learn and ownership over projects. No one lurks over your shoulder–you are responsible for yourself and given room to breathe. It is a safe place to grow as a designer and developer.

    Cons

There is a push to keep clients happy and this can sometimes cause work to be rushed. Since it is a small business, the staff must be flexible and wear a lot of hats.
