    Pros

Great co-workers! My manager really cares about the tem and looks out for the department's best interests while also looking out for the best interests of the individual.

    Cons

Like many other areas of higher education the pay could be better, but it does make it for it with flexible hours and vacation.

    Positive Outlook

I have been working at Morningside College (More than a year)

    Pros

As an adjunct professor, I can work on my own timeline. The workload allows me to work full time and still get experience at the next level.

    Cons

The only con is not being able to work face to face with the students that I teach.

    Advice to Management

None- they do a great job

I worked at Morningside College as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

Small school with intimate environment, energetic students and staff, knowledgeable department chair and instructors.

    Cons

Just the usual challenges in working with students, some will be interested in the work and others won't, no matter how much you try to inspire and motivate them.

    Advice to Management

Spend a little time coaching new adjuncts regarding student engagement and helpful techniques for opening communication when challenges arise.

    Doesn't Recommend

I worked at Morningside College part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The school is in a small town, if you like that sort of thing. Easy commute. The people are friendly, and there are some really dedicated teachers. Almost every professor and adjunct there is passionate about teaching.

    Cons

The school is over-priced. I could not feel proud of our product (the education we were providing to our students). The teachers are undercompensated and felt very insecure. Whole departments in the humanities were laid off (even tenured professors) because the school is trying reinvent itself as a more technical college. New, full-time professors were being hired WITHOUT benefits. I was being paid so little, I couldn't afford to work there anymore.

I have been working at Morningside College full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Awesome School great atmosphere. The professors really know how to get on a personal level with the students and over all i really enjoyed my time.

    Cons

The surrounding city is questionable at best. The air quality and water quality are not to great and it seems like the people here are a bit hostile towards outsiders.

    Advice to Management

    Keep the school insulated
