    Pros

If you take the initiative, you can learn a lot of different things in a relatively short period of time. Very good work environment overall.

    Cons

Very high turnover rate is due to lack of upward mobility. Salaries tend to be on the lower end.

I worked at Morton Grove Pharmaceuticals full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

You work with some awesome people (and some not so awesome people). The company is flexible and will work with you for the most part. You will learn quite a bit in a short period of time.

If you are a go-getter, this company is great for a short period of time.

This place has pretty good benefits as well.

But the reality is, this place is for individuals who don't expect too much, and want a comfortable position. How would I know? The turnover in the time I've been there explains itself.

I on the other hand, stayed way too long, I know, BUT I did earn another degree while working here, and left soon after.

    Cons

Once the short period of time is up, you will stop learning, not because there isn't anything to learn, but you won't reach that point. There will be someone else waiting ahead of you. This is not a company for the long term, definitely short term. There is no advancement after level 2. You get to level 2 pretty quickly, so don't get too excited. The "old guard" would does not like challengers, so you'll stay at level 2 for a long time. The pay is not competitive, most people that leave this company get a major boost to their income.

    Advice to Management

This company has great potential. Instead of keeping middle management, upper management, and a bunch of other unnecessary management roles, consolidate! Too many cooks in the pot, and no one wants to take responsibility. In this company, change would definitely be for the better, and really don't keep someone in a management role who thinks bullying his way through meetings is normal, it's not. Also, someone needs to have a better understanding of who's doing what, and who's associated with who, keep some checks and balances.

I have been working at Morton Grove Pharmaceuticals full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Overall the work schedule is flexible. People are nice and will help you whenever they can. There is lots of opportunity to cross train.

    Cons

The pay is low for the industry about 25% less than you should make. Management doesn't seem to care if the lab is lacking resources or how much the work load fluctuates. They keep people on temp till they quit sometimes.

    Advice to Management

Pay your employees correctly. If you're a revolving door cause of pay its an easy fix. Instead of being a training facility.

I have been working at Morton Grove Pharmaceuticals as a contractor

    Pros

Good industry, and lots of opportunities to learn new things if one has the initiative

    Cons

High turnover rate, many temps. Those on top seem to uninterested in investing in their employees. Disorganized and awful pay for the work load. The worst part is most of the problems seem to be easily resolved

    Advice to Management

If you want employees to have a better morale, then invest in them!

    Pros

Plenty of independence. The company is small and the employees generally get along quite well.

    Cons

The upper management is very disorganized and ineffective. Morale is shockingly low among absolutely everyone.

    Pros

Good opportunities to learn new systems

    Cons

Very poor canteen facility as one has to drive for atleast 5 minutes to buy good lunch

    Advice to Management

Since the facility is manufacturing plant..it should provide canteen facility to the employees free of cost. I would request to suggest that whether it is possible to introduce the Meal coupons, if no then is there any way through which it can be introduced where canteen facility can be provided as well as meal passes can also be provided to benefit the employees
