I worked at Mosaic Life Care (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Very innovative thinking and approach to health care.

    Cons

Significant turnover of people and short sighted launch of new approach to health care made for unstable work environment.

    Advice to Management

Listen more closely to employees who are on the front line of delivering services.

I have been working at Mosaic Life Care (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    The organization cares about retention

    Cons

They don't seem to want to use wages to help with retention.

    Advice to Management

Higher wages for bedside staff, medical staff gets 45% higher wages while clinical staff gets almost the same percentage less than average.

I have been working at Mosaic Life Care (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Great benefits, most departments work well together, able to understand when you take a problem directly to the top

    Cons

Too many managers between the staff and the service leader. OOP max is too high for the average employee, needs to be more patient focused and less financial focused. You cannot chase money and win, you must chase the patient to help them and the money will follow.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your staff, some people do actually know more about the job they have been doing, than those that have never done it. Stop talking and start listening! Things may work out better than you anticipate.

    Pros

Decent insurance, great coworkers, intelligent and compassionate physicians, variable locations to work, variety of services to offer to patients, employee benefits are decent.

    Cons

Not competitive pay- focus is on adding to work load and not promoting employees based on work load.
    Lacks follow through with management
Standards are pretty on paper but amount to little when it comes to employees
    Large employee turnover
    Lacks training for new hires
    Little work/life balance

I worked at Mosaic Life Care full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I worked with a mostly amazing staff and all of the physicians and NP's where excellent and inspiring

Beautiful buildings and very impressive atmosphere. The patients really appreciated what you did for them.

    Cons

Direct manager was unavailable to staff, did not want to discuss growth ideas, and was quite rude when discussing work related conflicts. Manager lied regarding quit date that was fulfilled.

HR employees where also not wonderful but the HR manager was very understanding and would listen to concerns.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your people, they want to work for you and you owe them at least a sympathetic ear.

Paid time off, fair pay, decent benefits.

    Cons

Constant changes, and very unorganized upper management.

    Advice to Management

Take employee suggestions into consideration. Spend more time on the floor with employees to see what challenges they are facing, and help implement solutions for those challenges.

    Pros

Like many larger, bureaucratic institutions, over-staffing and general inefficiency combine to create a generally low-mid stress environment. Benefits aren't that bad.

    Cons

Comparatively low pay among the rank and file employees (certainly not among administrators or doctors). Lack of integrity between the values that are marketed to the public and internal billing practices/almighty dollar chasing.

I have been working at Mosaic Life Care full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Very proactive place to work. Definitely look toward the future and think about the survival of the company in an ever-changing Healthcare market.

    Cons

Big business. Aren't afraid to make cuts. This organization can make you feel like you are just another number and aren't truly valued.

    Advice to Management

Don't get so far ahead of yourselves that you have to cover up mistakes with people's jobs.
