I worked at Moscow State University part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

It had good food and all the staff were very helpful. I was a cleaner and the students let it very clean

    Cons

The heating never worked and the place always stank of ciggaretes. The boarding houses were small and dirty compared to the uni itself

    Advice to Management

You need to ban cigarettes and fix the heating also keep up the good food. Also clean the boarding accommodation and maybe extend it

    Pros

Community is nice , there are lot's of unique educational opportunities, location is good, seven more words are necessary to submit.

    Cons

Salaries are uncompetative, there are a lot of beaurocracy and tedious paperwork, management point of view is usually very far from being realistic.

    Pros

The top Russian and one of the best universities in the world. Strong fundamental education on wide range of science. Various scientific programs from MD to PhD and more. Friendly and helpful team.

    Cons

Non-suitable salaries. Complicated processes of equipment purchase. Student programs are being changed every year, so that hours spent in the laboratory become variable. Correspondence between the buildings in campuss is inconvenient.

    Advice to Management

Increase the salary for scientific and teaching employers. Improve the electronic systems for purchasing and integrate them into governmental portals. Create winter undeground correspondence between the buildings.

    Doesn't Recommend

I have been working at Moscow State University full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good community is the main advantage of this place. A lot of famous teachers and smart students. The (almost) free dormitory room is provided. The location is the best in Moscow. There are a lot of parks and it is close to city center. There are cheap canteens in the territory.

    Cons

The main disadvantage is, of cource, very low salary. It is impossible to live in Moscow with such money. A lot of bureacracy is a nightmare. E.g. if you want to go to conference, you have to get 5 signatures of different people. None of them are helpful, and you will not get any money, of course.

    Advice to Management

Stop wasting (stealing) money on useless projects like supercomputers, 3D rooms and earth satellites. Cut the bureacracy and let people work.

    Pros

Main pros is people around: all finished University, many of them have a degree. Pleasant environment, no stress, you do your research.

    Cons

The salary is VERY low, people working in store get more. No real supervision.

    Advice to Management

I think you should take not all people who apply (what happens now) but only real motivated. And pay them much more.
