    Pros

You get to work with some really smart and fun people who know what they are doing and can train very well.

    Cons

Besides the aspect of being a public accounting (minimal work/life balance), this company is extraordinarily clique. Here is what no one will ever tell you when you are recruiting (for obvious reasons) -

If you are not white and want to be in audit, stay away from the San Francisco office. Unless you want to work in industry groups such non-for-profit, healthcare, tech, then you should be fine. But you will be LOVED if you are a white male (especially by the financial services group). You will also be loved if you are a white female who can be seen as "one of the guys".

If you are a staff, be very careful what industries group you show interest in. Be aware of how you present yourself as some people can be offended SUPER easily (since they were the nerds who got picked on or the not so cool people back in high school or college).

Bottom line, brown nose like there is no tomorrow. You can mess up and they will laugh and joke about it. If you don't get on people's good side, you might as well quit and find a better firm like BPM if you are into mid-size firms; because continuing to try is pointless.

    Advice to Management

Open your eyes to the "cons" I wrote. Racism unfortunately exists in the SF office.

    Pros

Loved working here. Had to resign because we moved to a city where there wasn't a branch office. People say accounting firms are all the same, but Moss was very transparent. I worked a reduced schedule that worked for me and them.

    Cons

There will always be a tricky personality around, and Moss was no exception. I always felt like I had people in my corner if things got tough, though.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work. It's been years since I was there, and I still have a warm place in my heart for Moss Adams. Please expand to Denver.

    Pros

The people are awesome and the managers that you work with are very knowledgable and love teaching. The partners are also very nice and love the interns. It's a small intern class compared to the big 4, so everyone is very close and the company treats you really well!

    Cons

The work is kind of monotonous and the training is very overwhelming. The software is very complicated but not impossible to figure out.

I worked at Moss Adams LLP full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

They have some extra perks, fully stocked snack room, massages and the occasional food truck.

    Cons

Some in the management could be better. Just depends who you work with. Lots of overtime especially close to the deadline. Only get meals after working 5 hours overtime.

    Advice to Management

Work on focusing on being fair and doing whats right with employees not unimportant things.

I have been working at Moss Adams LLP full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Moss Adams has great people and an excellent office culture. Compensation has always been above my expectations throughout my career.

    Cons

Pressure to grow leads to willingness to take on more clients and lower-quality clients than we have the capacity for, resulting in long hours and high stress at times, and last minute projects dropped on team members seemingly at random. Poor planning and scheduling process, as department leaders and especially schedulers appear to play favorites when scheduling engagements.

    Advice to Management

Re-evaluate our long-term growth goals and see if they are realistic to achieve while maintaining safety and the overall health and morale of your employees.

I worked at Moss Adams LLP (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Some of the best reasons to work at Moss Adams were the office events. It was one of the few times that brought the office together. Free snacks

    Cons

The company was too large to be considered a family local accounting firm anymore and too small to compete with the Big 4's
