    Pros

Could be fun at times. Met some famous people. But mostly met the worst people on earth.

    Cons

Smoke. Smoke. Smoke. Hours. Customers. To be promoted you're gonna want to be related to someone.

    Advice to Management

Promote people who are good employees not good friends or good looking.

I have been working at Motor City Casino full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Very good medical, dental insurance, paid sick and vacation. Pay is good

    Cons

Management is very unprofessional, union is not very strong and because of that job security is not the best. Its so sad to have a job that offers so much especially in this hard economic time and you not be judged based on your work ethic or job performance but on the personal and biased feelings held by management.

    Advice to Management

They don't need any advice, they need training and they need to replace some management and supervisors with someone who will value other peoples jobs just like they value their own

I have been working at Motor City Casino full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Motor city offers competitive pay. Pretty Decent benefits as well. They also have a 401k match program as well as tuition reimbursement. Its like a big family everybody knows each other no matter which department you're in.

    Cons

you have to be very flexible as far as your schedule is concerned. Shifts are give out on a seniority basis so if you're just starting out prepare toget the short end of the stick schedule wise.

    Pros

Awesome pay! A chance to meet great people as far as employees and some customers

    Cons

There already starting to implement scheduling where you are part time employee and have no right to bid on a schedule nor a time nor department. Therefore you do not have an estimated average of what you will make a week or what time of the day you will work your schedule is wide open. They say that they are revolving the schedules when they are not. Full-time employees abuse FMLA unbelievably!

    Advice to Management

Get rid of the slackers and have upper management do their job and fix everything that is broken and follow OSHA laws!
