Company's culture is good. Most managers and colleagues are nice and smart. Products are used friendly and durable.

    Cons

But the high level management plays too much politics.

I worked at Motorola Mobility full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good company with great products. The designs of the products were truly outstanding, rugged, and easy to use.

The company brand was great as well. I was always proud to say I worked at Motorola Mobility.

Leadership in the beginning, when owned by Google, was also fantastic.

    Cons

Now that the company is owned by Lenovo, I'm seeing changes in the products, not state-of-the-art, not really eye-catching, cannot find a compelling reason to buy a MM phone versus a competitor.

Also, once Lenovo took over, it was clear that the business would all be relocated to China. Too bad another American Industry Icon is going way.

    Advice to Management

Find a way to keep the MM brand, and also remember that MM products were at one time the standard of the industry. Why not attempt to be the industry standard once again?

    Pros

Motorola wants each engineer to keep up with technology which allows you to incorporate many new design, manufacturing technologies into your everyday work

    Cons

Not enough time to be more innovative R&D work or know everything due to product life cycle

    Advice to Management

    R&D team needed
