    Pros

    Gain a lot of knowledge in a short period of time, exposing yourself to manage your mechanical systems. Experiencing interrelation with Marketing team, product designers, electrical / software / manufacturing / factory / testing engineers to make sure everything works well and satisfy all the requirements

    Cons

    No opportunity to grow in the company further than the mechanical team.

    Advice to Management

    Manage to deliver from proto-typing to production several mechanical systems in vary products.

    Pros

    Excellent pay and benefits. Great people to work with. Innovative, smart, and flexible teams. Great new work spaces and many amenities. Great location at the Merchandise Mart.

    Cons

    Some of management is still slow to embrace change and slow to open up to new ideas. Your work happiness varies greatly upon who you end up with as your manager. Many jobs are going to China. Future looks bleak.

    Advice to Management

    For the progressive manager: Keep up the great work. For the antiquated managers: Take cues from the newer managers that allow for more creativity and flexibility. Take some managing courses and embrace change.
