I have been working at Motorola Solutions full-time

    Pros

Large company but feels small - great culture ... always doing the right thing for employees. Transition to the downtown Chicago office is cool - amazing workspace - accessible to senior management. Lots of opportunity to grow - company is growing and doing great things.
Love the purpose - "We help people be their best in the moments that matter"

    Cons

No downsides that i am aware of. The company has already done right by me and for me.

    Advice to Management

    Keep your eye on diversity.

I have been working at Motorola Solutions full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Great benefits, pay, people, and locations all over the place.

    Cons

Not very up to date with the software world when it comes to the workforce. We're really getting out tech upgraded all over the place and adopting new things like DevOps principles etc.. but they don't know how to get and hold great people quite yet. They need to consider allow more people to work remote and flex hours etc.. to better balance home life with work.

    Advice to Management

Free your people to make great decisions and to make mistakes.

I have been working at Motorola Solutions full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Amazing people, everyone is treated with respect whether you are a contractor or employee. The culture is great! They are very flexible and forward-thinking with mobility/flexibility in your work schedule and location.

    Cons

I honestly don't have any at this time! I don't see this as a con but some people would, a lot of areas have very few or no admins. Everyone is expected to do their own calendars, get supplies, and other miscellaneous items. New people that are used to an admin take a little extra time to adjust to this but it seems to work well in the type of environment they have created. Not to worry, everyone is pretty self-sufficient!
