    Pros

The community of people here are amazing. Because it's not a huge academic teaching hospital, it's easy to get to know other employees here and develop relationships. There's not as much turnover in employees. There have been many people here for 5-10-15-20 years. I enjoy working at MAH; I've been here for over 9 years. It's a dream job to work in a place like this; my co-workers are family to me.

    Cons

Pay for my line of work is relatively low for the area

I worked at Mount Auburn Hospital (More than a year)

    Pros

Great Hospital! Mount Auburn is part of a large network but has the personal feel and touch of a small organization. generally, morale is high and employees thoroughly enjoy working at Mount Auburn. I learned a lot of working at that organization. There is a great deal of talent through all of the departments.

    Cons

When I was working at Mount Auburn there was a freeze on raises. Everyone would get the same amount, weather you were a stellar employee or not. Personally I wish they continued with a merit increase and had a low cost of living adjustment each year.

    Advice to Management

Boston area is expensive and employees need compensation. As a manager is hard to keep good staff when other hospitals pay way more.
