I worked at Mountain Air Cargo (More than 8 years)

    Pros

They're getting better, showing a lot of advancement.

    Cons

The same with other feeder companies.

I worked at Mountain Air Cargo full-time

    Pros

CEO is a decent and honest man. There were company picnics and holiday parties to try and boost morale. Rob Norton is a stand up man!

    Cons

CEO has no idea the inner-workings of the "cliques." Everyone tends to be out to get each other, no support from management. Quite the opposite, management pushes you down instead of lifting you up. Everyone gossips! Each department is like it's own company and seem to be pitted against each other. No appreciation for employees whether you are new or been there 20 years. Management (from VP and down) enjoy making fun of employees and telling stories about employees (past and present).

    Advice to Management

Since they are so "fire-happy" they could let go of most of their upper management and start fresh. Always remember, employees don't leave their job, they leave their supervisor!

I worked at Mountain Air Cargo full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Looking for a pro for this place is like making a positive comment about a car dealership that sold you a lemon. I'd say leaving was a positive. I gained four years of really good experience but ultimately once the parent company was bought the attitude went south.

    Cons

I'm not sure of some of the fluffed reviews I read on here, which are quite comical because I know that no one out at the line stations could have wrote anything so favorable.

The day I realized it was time to leave was the day I had to witness the chief inspector leave out the door in a walk of shame with a bag of trash (His belongings). I believe he dedicated 18 plus years to the betterment of the company only to be used as a scapegoat.

    Advice to Management

    None

    Pros

None that I can think of.

    Cons

Politics, politics, politics. Work environment poor at best. President/CEO is a horrible manager. If he likes you, them you are ok, if not you better start looking for another job. As a female it was a difficult place to work.

    Advice to Management

    Find a new president.

I have been working at Mountain Air Cargo full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Mediocre health benefits, new gateway cities for floaters, fair 401K, 30% 401K matching up to 10%, dedicated pilot group, no union.

    Cons

Pressure to fly poorly maintained equipment, (They call you with a guilt trip if you ground an aircraft) no reward for long term loyalty, six day work week with travel on Sundays, all department heads fired in the last year and now they are firing their replacements! seniority only used for vacation bidding, you don't get to bid on schedule, you take what they give you. Based pilots get better per diem than floater pilots. As previously reported, this place is going down hill fast!

    Advice to Management

    Fire CEO and start over.

    Pros

Relaxed schedule, FANTASTIC BENEFITS, paid time off, tons of vacation, easy going management. Life is easy here!

    Cons

Pay could be a little hire but if you work your PTO the total compensation is even more than other cargo airlines

    Advice to Management

Upgrade headquarters to more modern facility

I have been working at Mountain Air Cargo full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great schedule, lots of time at home, weekends and holidays off, great people.

    Cons

Low pay well below industry standards for both Captain's and F.O.'s, no per diem for based pilots, no preferential interviews with FedEx.

    Advice to Management

Listen to the pilot group, in the near future there may not be enough pilots to maintain current levels. Pay must increase as well as per diem for all pilots.
