I have been working at Moy Park full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Full time job for some. Cheap staff shop. Different shifts available. Half decent restaurant and seating area with a television.

    Cons

All new contracts are at the minimum of what is legal. Hourly wage is below legal but they use the extremely small shift pay to put this pence over minimum wage. Wages are often wrong & if you do overtime you could wait months to be paid it. Hourly paid workers are treated disgustingly while monthly paid 'staff' are pampered to & treated altogether differently. All hard work & going over & above your role is completely ignored but any tiny negative is jumped on with a disciplinary. Any sick time is now disciplined but 'staff' are let off scott free. Break times are unpaid & you're only given a short time, managers can sit in the restaurant for hours a shift.

    Advice to Management

The top management need to start treating the good hourly paid workers with some respect. Stop threatening everybody with a disciplinary & start trying to create a far better moral.

I worked at Moy Park full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Experience of fast pace environment. People that i have met

    Cons

Its all politics and favourtism. Non flexible. Managers cannot manage their staff effectively.

    Advice to Management

Listen to employees, understand experience and knowledge is vital. Learn to be flexible with parents who have kids, manage employees more effectively.

    Pros

regular work, established company, ongoing bussines

    Cons

Never manage to get wages correct, bad shift pattern, hours to long, very low pay rate, upper management unable to communicate with staff, staff are never thanked for there efforts but are disciplined for the smallest mistakes or even being ill with doctors certificate , no consideration for staff with long service records,

    Advice to Management

look after your long serving and loyal staff better and they will give you more, saying thank you , and a production bonus would be nice because without us you would not have a business
