I have been working at Mphasis full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Its small team. If you like startup kind of roles then this is the company.

    Cons

Very Unorganized, full of unprofessional-ism, unstable and unsecured environment. They will hire you on big package and then struggle to provide your billing. Its like working like a contractor.
The new generation products are not market ready and we are still selling them. Very poor branding.

    Advice to Management

Plan ahead and retain the talent. If your guys keep leaving then stability will never come. Make the ecosystem employee friendly.

I worked at Mphasis full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The customer (Volkswagen) was a good customer with friendly staff and the only thing that made this job remotely bareable.

    Cons

When Mphasis won this contract with VW they just threw a bunch of engineers over from india torun it. These staff members all feud with one another all of the time. There is no comradery at all. of 6 engineers hired in the UK in the last year, 6 left. I was not paid all that i was owed by Mphasis and when chasing for it I was given the run around. Every payslip i got was incorrect. my address was some sort of mashup of english, scottish and irish locations. The business as a whole is very reactive as opposed to being pro active. The customer reguarly complains about the service delivered by Mphasis.Rightly so, it's awful. Service request tickets go unanswered for weeks if not months in some cases. The office is a sweatbox that the staff all work and eat in, oh it's ripe. Customers complain about the smell and I have to appologize. (they arent the ones sat in it).

The bit that annoyed me more than anything else was that nobody communicated in the office in english. I do not speak whatever flavour of Indian they spoke. this meant i was often out of the loop on what was happening and my work would suffer as a result.

    Advice to Management

get more than one HR rep for the UK, pay your staff properly, hire staff that speak english.

    Pros

    1. Job security for people who doesn't like to take risks & challenges, others would have been got into a better company by now.
    2. Moderate work pressure

    Cons

1.QPLP in UK even its optional as per laws in UK employees were forced to accept by promising hikes and promotion.
2.No Appraisal discussion between the employee and his reporting manager. Manager gives rating based on the input from one senior guy in the team who in no way knows or tries to understand what tasks the employee does.
3.Half of the managers are not trained to manage people or project

    Advice to Management

Love your job not your company employess start looking for it...!!!

    Pros

if you have an existing account that you have inherited in a Sales role then you are laughing all the way to the bank.

    Cons

the new biz side is a joke - one day they want to sell independently of the HP channel, the next day they want to sell through the HP channel without any guidance, tools or support.

All the time there is a better and more competent delivery channel for external customers for Offshore Application Outsourcing services within HP called Bestshore Application Services which has delivery centres in Eastern Europe, China and India and much more depth and breadth of experience.

    Advice to Management

No! let them pay for the advice or actually pick up the phone and listen to the people leaving or being bullied out by the some of the so-called experienced senior managers
