I have been working at Mrs. Fields Famous Brands full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I work with so many wonderful people. Everyone is friendly, capable and genuine. The corporate office is beautiful and provides a great work environment.

    Cons

The company is owned by a private equity firm. The constant focus is finding the quickest way to make us more profitable so they can sell us. It seems like there is constant restructuring along with a heavy workload.

    Advice to Management

It would be great if leaders had a better understanding of job duties at the operational level. This would help them to understand the limit of "special projects" any one employee or department can take on.

I have been working at Mrs. Fields Famous Brands full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

You get to meet some great people and work with cookies and yogurt. The people can really pull together and work as a unit when the time calls for it.

    Cons

The change in culture is hard to swallow and is affecting some people here. The change was quick so people were caught off guard and not prepared.

    Pros

Free cookies, and tips, very easy job

    Cons

Management was not very good with communicating, never gave me a schedule. Terrible experience

    Advice to Management

Be clear with giving out hours, and what you want from the employees.

    Pros

Great brand recognition from one of the first premier cookie companies. Ability to customize and create something truly unique for the customer.

    Cons

Poorly managed and has been for years. Amazing the company isn't bankrupt again. No leadership and a very high turnover rate. Baking and offering cookies should be fun but the ownership company truly has a unique way of sucking the life and fun out of the business that claims to deliver smiles. I don't see many people smiling.

    Advice to Management

Quit micro managing and begin caring more about people and less about profits. Prior to making any decision make sure you fully understand each component. Hire people and train them well and then let them govern themselves.
