    Neutral Outlook

I have been working at Mt. Sierra College part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Given the opportunity to work there when attending the college. Freedom to work around your school schedule

    Cons

Some supervisors will abuse the time you give them, very ungreatful and expect you to do things that would normally cost 20+ an hour for only minimum wage.

    Advice to Management

Don't take FAs for granted. Teach supervisors to respect and teach the assistants instead of just berate them.

    Pros

    as a student -
    1. You have the time to do your homework.
    2. The boss works around your schedule and if you need more hours, it is provided for you.
    3. The department varies, but the one I work in, you get to help people and as lame as that sounds to some, I like that compare to my old job.
    4. If you don't know something, you can always ask a co-worker or your boss, they are always helpful.
    5. There are meetings every 3 months and email updates on news.

    Cons

    As a student -
    1. The pay is minimum wage and is only part time.
    2. In order to work there, your federal work study has to be approved and there are only a few exceptions where a federal work study is not needed.
    3. Hard to find parking due to the business on both sides of the campus.
    4. Limited hours, only 20 hours every 2 weeks.

    Advice to Management

More hours for students so they will have enough to pay off college loans and such.

    Pros

You get a paycheck (but HR...yeesh)

    Cons

By far the biggest problem is that most of the management is either people who interested in profit/numbers or, more often, there are really uneducated people calling the shots.

    Advice to Management

Don't hire morons to higher positions because it promotes a bad work culture. Be stupid or greedy and you'll succeed!

    Pros

There was a building. It has doors. Hopefully your paycheck didn't bounce. The students were really awesome. Some of the employees are really helpful and genuine.

    Cons

This is the most desperate, rediculous mockery of a college I have ever seen. Don't go to school here and please for the love of all things sacred, don't work here. If you love yourself, run, don't walk as far away from this place as you possibly can.

    Advice to Management

Hire an Admissions Director who knows Admissions. Stop hiring from within your circle. Stop firing employees when hair-brained schemes don't work. Stop taking your cues from The Office. Listen to your employees. Give performance reviews with meaningful information.
