I worked at Mu Sigma full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

-resume padder about "work experience" at Fortune 500 companies
    - can say you managed an off shore team
    - learn big buzz words

    Cons

filter by US reviews to see the real rating.
-CEO had an affair yoga instructor, which led to a lot of upper management leaving and he devalued the company so that he could regain majority control
-India employees must buy into indoctrination, are REQUIRED to take a huge pay advanced and in order to leave must pay it back + taxes, leading to a cult like atmosphere
    - US client services are not valued, very high turnover rate
CEO is butchering software as a service and spinning it as service as a software
-Columbus program is a joke, and very poorly ran.
-this is 100% an Indian company that does business in America, therefore, expect to be treated like business Norms there
-set pay structures, non negotiable and pay increase isn't schedule for 3 years
    - you spend 6 months in India, being at the office close to 50 hours a week while making 1200. Hard to to take days off, and must use PTO that is much more valuable in America
-this is not a performance oriented company
    - they don't care about your growth

    Advice to Management

Employees are assets not pawns. Happy client services will actively look to build long lasting relationships rather than count down the days until their 1 year mark is up

I worked at Mu Sigma full-time

    Pros

    - Steep learning curve
    - Crowd is young and smart

    Cons

    - The kind of learning depends on your luck as well. If you get a project that doesnt require much of analytics, you can be stuck there before you get a team change

    Pros

The energy within Mu Sigma is infectious there is no way one can escape it.
It is the place where a not knowing things is definitely ok and is willing to give the opportunity to learn for its employees.
It's place where opinions are valued more than previous experience.
In true spirit the company believes in openness and equal opportunity.
The work never gets boring, in fact so interesting that it makes you sit well into the wee hours of the night, but everyone who works here is quite willing to do because they believe (and rightly so) that the effort is worth it.
Early on in your career you get opportunities to lead projects, accounts and teams. At the end of the day you are not only becoming an excellent problem solver but an aspiring leader in short duration where others can only dream.

    Cons

Relatively stressful environment due to the nature of the business and the complex nature of problems we get to solve. Salaries are slightly below average as compared to the nature of the job and the market
Mu Sigma training program is more or less average in preparing its employees to take up client facing roles

    Advice to Management

The company beliefs are very strong and at core of what the company stands for, the middle management sometimes is unsuccessful in communicating these messages effectively to its employees.
