    Pros

-Great work if you love getting hands on
-If you are lucky you will find great mentors [1 in 500]

    Cons

    - 80% of middle management is highly incompetent throwing around words like First principles but not actually understanding the principle in the first place. I hope Elon Musk doesnt read this.
-Below avg pay, zero work life balance or should i say "work-life harmony" .
-Intense emphasis on regional politics and a good example would be meetings in regional language despite having Managers and associates in the room who wouldnt understand it
    - 90% of the work is done by India team but credit usually is given to the "Account/Engagement Managers"

    Advice to Management

You have lost the best of the best because of the Cons i mention. Its high time to stop this. The company has great potential.

I worked at Mu Sigma full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    1. As much responsibility as you're willing to take
    2. Free trip to India - ridiculously fun
    3. Semi - decent training in high value skills
    4. Young coworkers. This could be a negative if they're immature, but you'll make friends
    5. Work on big brand names - excellent exposure

    Cons

    1. Incredibly disengaged management. Nobody will actively try to set you up for success. It's all on you to self advocate.
    2. Apathy - because management is so disengaged (at all levels) most employees are apathetic about their roles in the company. Since joining onsite, I have not seen a single employee whose actively excited to be in the company
    3. Extremely high turnover due to apathy. When you come onsite most likely 80% of your coworkers will be new to the company as well. The ones who stick around usually do so because of prior commitments or business school
    4. No respect for the Mu Sigma brand from clients. While there are many cases where we've won client respect due to great work, it always an uphill battle because of Mu Sigma's notorious inconsistency in quality due to high turnover
    5. Late night calls with an India team. The India teams are great people, and they will work harder and longer hours than you will. However calling them late at night can make it hard to have a life outside of work on weekdays.
    5. Pay: You will quickly realize you are underpaid for the level of impact your work has

I worked at Mu Sigma full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The experience with the clients is unmatched. You learn the most from them. The Columbus program is adult study abroad.

    Cons

Offshore model doesn't work- always on calls.
Attrition is too high causing massive instability within teams.
Management is corrupt and highly unprofessional. There is no structure or procedure for anything. They are disrespectful of your time.
Video analytics was a huge scam... employees were forced to watch the videos and make the dataset because the algorithm didn't work.

    Advice to Management

Better incentivize people and conduct yourselves more professionally. Get a management team who behaves ethically.

I have been working at Mu Sigma full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Strongest client base among its peers. If you put in the effort, there can be a lot learnt in a short period of time. Team members are enthusiastic and are happy to put in the hours to come up with quality delivery.

    Cons

Bad hours, company doesn't believe in work-life balance. There is expectation to overlap with offshore teams and onsite clients. Working with teammates that have relatively less experience, which leads to lot of errors and rework. India analysts need to sign a 3 year bond when the get hired.

    Advice to Management

Start hiring more analysts who have relevant work experience and reduce the ratio of freshers. Pay at parity to reduce attrition.
