I have been working at Muckleshoot Casino full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Great Benefits, Two Bonuses a year, Free meals, free training. Excellent community to work for that cares for it's employees.

    Cons

I seen a few reviews about inconsistencies at middle management. This is something that is an issue. I am the middle management and am trying to fix this issue. It has been taking some time.

    Advice to Management

Consistency, it would help if the team management worked together as a whole. To many different expectations from different managers.

I worked at Muckleshoot Casino full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great benefits and pay - probably the best in gaming on the west coast. This is an incredibly successful business and tries to take care of its people with money and benefits.

    Cons

Employee engagement will never truly be allowed until the Tribal Members figure out how to run their own business. Have to move past the whole tribal - non issue.

    Advice to Management

Tribal leadership has to allow Tribal Members to really run the place. Otherwise you are wasting a ton of money on highly paid drones. Hard to stretch your career when capped.

    Pros

There are many good people there are many great possibilities. Great pay - too much for market actually. Making money as a company. Have a great facility and resources.

    Cons

There is a reluctance to move forward and with the relationship between cultural subgroups there is a lot of mistrust and fear in management. As long as you don't try to do anything outside of the norm as approved by the top, you are ok. Good thing they have a competitive advantage or they would have to compete.

    Advice to Management

To allow for real growth you have to trust and allow for people to suggest things outside of status quo

    Pros

Regular work with reasonable paid benefits. can be an enjoyable environment to work.
    Supportive supervisors.

    Cons

pay is low considering the work demands and frustation over vague casino promotions where 1st in line staff generally deal with upset customers daily, routinely. Black out days regarding absences including major holidays at straight time.
