I worked at Mullen Lowe Group full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Fun environment, opportunity to work on big clients with the brightest people, lots of work outings & vendor events, forced to think outside of the box and do the best work that you can, pushed past comfort zone, prepares you to work at any agency

    Cons

Long hours, bad work/life balance, not a lot of support from higher management, little mentorship as far as career growth and opportunities go

    Advice to Management

    Offer management training to supervisors

I have been working at Mullen Lowe Group full-time

    Pros

Fast pace environment gives you fast pace learning and access to numerous creative teams to become familiar with. You get to fine-tune your Adobe suite skills if you feel like putting in the effort.

    Cons

Not much room for growth or development past studio tasks. Very little range to be involved in the process of an art director or a copy writer. If you do want that experience, you are throw right in, sink or swim. There isn't much for mentors.

    Advice to Management

Keep your employees happier, you'll get less of a turn over. Stop hiring ego maniacs.

I worked at Mullen Lowe Group full-time

    Pros

Barista coffee bar, ping pong table, pool table which are appealing to new hires and interviewees. Holidays are fairly generous. Free food on occasion. Mullen is a good place to work if you are only looking for short-term employment and experience.

    Cons

They have a lot of job postings which means high employee turn around. Open work environment where groups of people are forced to work side by side at long tables in a renovated factory. To be able to focus on your job responsibilities wearing noise canceling headphones is a must or ear buds for music. Visitors and agency tours are a constant interruption due to the open floor plan. There are eye appealing perks... that the agency provides but appearances can be deceiving. Leadership/management varies greatly depending on the department that you are hired. Job training and opportunities for advancement are minimal. Salary increases are not an option. Feedback from management is vague which provides no direction. Meetings are scheduled last minute so there is no time to prepare. All employees work on laptop computers and most have to carry them home to be available 24/7 which leads to the next down side. Location of the agency and parking issues, employee parking is not appealing at all. The walk from the car to your desk while carrying your computer and work materials can be considered a workout and commute which takes approximately 20 minutes or more depending on the time that you get to work and the weather. Plan for extra time to walk if the weather is bad. Places to grab lunch are also scarce, bringing lunch and snacks from home is the best option. The few places to eat are overpriced and the food is not very good. Food trucks are basically it.
