I have been working at MultiCare Health System full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Great coworkers and my managers really care about quality services.

    Cons

Financial constraints of reimbursement make it difficult. We are working really hard and I don't know if the current pace is sustainable.

    Advice to Management

Things happen very slowly that should be routine.
Let's really do one program before we start another ie LEAN, speed of Trust

    MultiCare Health System Response

    Nov 21, 2017 – Recruiting Associate

Rather than leaving, we hope you’ll look at other positions that will give you enough hours. If you’re an RN, the System Float Pool is a great choice. You can work a 0.9 FTE and earn a substantial... More

I worked at MultiCare Health System full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Spending money on buying new Technology

    Cons

But unable use the technology in right way or in an efficient way!!

    Advice to Management

Reading previous comments (at this web site) and Multicare responses. As former employee, the responses (provided by company's recruiting associate) seems to be just unreal. It likes writing few symbolic words to fill: "Our vision is clear: “MultiCare will be the Pacific Northwest’s highest value system of health....”
Not sure if the company is in right tack (in spite of nice wording by above team at web site). It may help in short term but surely not in long term. This is the reason many employees (including myself) leave the company (unrealistic goals, poor management style, too many changes, inefficiency....). Additionally, above wording, may "de-value" the other Health system at Northwest!

    MultiCare Health System Response

    Dec 5, 2017 – Recruiting Associate

MultiCare is a great organization, but not a good fit for all. You were clearly unhappy here, and we wish you the best wherever your career takes you.

I worked at MultiCare Health System full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Nice and hard working co-wrokers

    Cons

"Numbers (money)" is the ultimate goal for management. "Not investing" on (good) employees. Resistant to change on "historical/cultural suboptimal practice management"

    Advice to Management

Focusing and investing more on "good employees". Try to see long term/ horizon of the systems (than short term)

I worked at MultiCare Health System full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The people you work with day to day become your family. The organization has seen tremendous growth over the last few years which is Great! Alot of flexibility within your job and schedule.

    Cons

HR does not apply the same guidelines across the board for growth opportunities and promotions. HR has way too much control and leaves very little to the management within your dept. Fellows/interns get favored in this company. Very hard to get promoted and grow. Management turnover is very, very high. Too much waste in the organization. Consultants run the show at Multicare.

    Advice to Management

Look at growth opportunities for staff who have been at Multicare for many years vs placing interns/fellows into management roles right out the gate. Cut the amount of consultants that are used and continue to look for ways to reduce waste. Focus on making our care better for patients before growing anymore.
