I have been working at Murex full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    - Friendly co-workers
    - Good working env
    - A lot to learn in the first few years
    - Good healthcare insurance

    Cons

    - Management not transparent sometimes
    - After 4 years in the same position, not much to evolve
    - Good ones do all the job and take all the stress, not so good ones are much more relaxed, and you don't see big salary and bonus difference among them

    Advice to Management

Be more strict on the recruitment process, differentiate more the reward system during EOY, do let the good ones feel their hard works are appreciated

I have been working at Murex (More than a year)

    Pros

There is rarely repetitive work even on support side, there is always new topic to explore so you don't get bored.

    Cons

Not enough good managers. The quality of hiring is decreasing and the evaluation system is not always fare. Seniority is often the most important when it comes to good position, instead of capability.

    Advice to Management

There is not enough strong manager to support the CES&CDS expanding. The evaluation system is not always fair for the real capable employees. The result will be the ok ones left in the team, but the real good ones will go elsewhere.

    Cons

You can break your work life balance easily, but it's really up to the person

I worked at Murex (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good learning experience for junior developers in some teams - be very selective when choosing your team. Some technologies are outdated, especially the C stack.

    Cons

Management is centralized and often made of non-technical or technologically outdated people.
Huge gaps between compensations of senior people and new recruitees. Lack of transparence on salaries.
Lack of career opportunities. Poor management.

I have been working at Murex full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Murex is full of very interesting and talented people. It is a very good opportunity to exchange and learn from others. Most of the work consists in solving challenging problems and gives you a lot of food for thoughts.

    Cons

Hours can be long. Working at Murex requires you to work above 10 hours a day once you get some responsabilities and this can be exhausting. Also, and because of short dead-lines, interesting problem solving can become code hacking instead, which ends up being frustrating.
