    I worked at Murphy-Brown full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Awesome benefits and good pay for the area. General manager of the company Michael Rainwater makes you feel appreciated , no one below him however does

    Cons

I honestly wish I could put less stars. This place is a joke, the upper management let's farm leaders get away with whatever the want. Then the complex managers come in once ever week or two with a piece of paper and write down every bad thing that they van about you and never tell you that you are doing anything correctly. SOP'S change weekly and you never know what you are supposed to do because you have an manager who is gone every other week for a week at a time. NO EMPLOYEES AT MBMO FEEL LIKE THEY ARE APPRECIATED. Michael Rainwater who is the general manager of the company is the ONLY person who chose to make his employees feel appreciated, but we see him maybe four times a year, you need to be reminded a little more often than that. At one point I was actually told "your replaceable.. Workers like you are a dime a dozen"

    Advice to Management

Act like u care about your laborers, remember without them your cushy job is no more, they are the ones who make this company happen...without them there are no hogs and you nice office chairs are gone!

    I worked at Murphy-Brown full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The best things about working for Murphy Brown was getting a paycheck. Since I've been gone I've heard that their employees are actually making quarterly bonuses now. However, while I was there we never made bonus once despite weaning the most pigs out of every farm in the state.
The only other good thing about working there was the annual Christmas party for employees and their families.

    Cons

We worked tons of extra hours because it was such a terrible place to work that the turnover rate was outrageous.

    Advice to Management

Lower management has no control over how things are handled and gets stepped on by upper management. Give them a little of the control back-they're the ones that are listening to their employees every day and working with them.
Also, it would be nice if you didn't change the operating procedures every other week.

I have been working at Murphy-Brown full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

There is alot of room for advancement. I know several employees who began in low level position who are currently in management. Even if you think that you are going into a field you can live with and enjoy there are tons of opportunities available in other areas. MB has great benefits; medical, dental and vision. They also have great sustainability. They give back to the community and are very involved with volunteer efforts and encourage their employees to do the same.

    Cons

I don't agree with how some employees have been treated, HR has favoritism issues and are not very professional.

    Advice to Management

Pay more attention to employee complaints in every division. Find out what your HR managers are doing that affect their ability to perform their jobs effectively.
