    Cons

    - Mutual Of Omaha is a good company which sells good products at fare prices, however because of lack of online and television advertisements some people do not know about the company.

    - Every dollar you make is commission so if you don't have a plan or time to build clientele you will not make much money.

    - Even if you do not make money you will be charged monthly for error and omissions and other services. Which will leave you in the negative.

I have been working at Mutual of Omaha (More than a year)

    Pros

Solid company with a great reputation nationwide. Within my group, there is a large amount of autonomy, where you choose which projects to work on, how you want to work on them, and with who. There is encouragement from management to be creative with coming up with new ideas for process improvement and engagement from all division offices.

    Cons

Overall Health Insurance needs a reboot
Very conservative in the way they do business, so at times its hard to get stuff moving and modernize the industry with current times.
While the tenure with employees is great, a lot of them are stuck in the "old ways" of doing things and are not as open to change- especially when it comes to younger professionals in management roles.

    Advice to Management

    Work to pay people more.

I have been working at Mutual of Omaha full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great hands on training, they really invest in the advisors for long term success and offer different compensation plans instead of straight commission like most company's. Like every company there is good and bad but the over all experience is good. I have been here for a couple of years and haven't had anything bad happen with my experience to make me want to leave the company.

    Cons

There is more support with finances, however this job is results driven and you will make more money with commissions. Some people cant see the bigger idea so if you dont like commissions this would be it. As far as benefits or other insurance products you go through the broker and not the company but I wouldn't completely say that is a con.

    Advice to Management

This office has two managers and maybe they could add more for more support if I had to give some advice.
