    I worked at MyPoints.com full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

I found that the management and employees were hard-working and dedicated to improving the products and services offered. It was a nice working environment with ergonomic work stations, sit/stand desks, free lunch twice a week, lots of snacks and refreshments available, very friendly and comfortable work environment.

    Cons

It's a small company so there are limited opportunities for advancement.

    Advice to Management

Provide cross-training opportunities so that employees can learn about other roles and expand their expertise and usefulness within the company.

    Pros

The people were good to work with. Out going good culture....

    Cons

Too much turmoil over years, lot of turnover. Everyone worried about their job.

    Advice to Management

Think about how you affect people. The delivery of management and who is management makes or breaks people.

    Pros

Good people to work with, part of a growing industry which makes thing very competitive but also very interesting. Business model that works at scale.

    Cons

Lack of support from corporate parent, too much reliance on email to drive sales and too much reliance on small discounts that folks could get anywhere.

    Advice to Management

Continue to listen to your customers and create products and services they are looking for. Try to keep up with the competition and the industry so you don't get left behind.

    I worked at MyPoints.com full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Management was hands off and work-life balance was good.

    Cons

Many CEOs in the years I worked there, and comaraderie was non-existent within and between departments. Corporate culture was very negative. Lack of direction and innovation seems to keep MyPoints in a perpetual state of reinvention with no clear path to rise above or proactively thwart the obstacles faced by an internet loyalty company.
There is no employee development program; actually employee development isn't even on the radar here.

    Advice to Management

Dig deep into Company issues, set a plan and move forward with it. Involve all levels, not just VP and above. Get a clue already - that hasn't worked for the past 3 upgrades.

I have been working at MyPoints.com full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Small company feel. Really relaxed atmosphere. Flexible schedule. Telecommuting available when necessary. Management is accessible and has a great open door policy.

    Cons

Going through a lot of changes.
No clear career path. Because of it's size it is really hard to keep moving up.
Future path of company not quite clear.

    Advice to Management

Be more proactive in creating opportunities for your employees to grow. Hire from within. Continue with the relax atmosphere and telecommuting option.

I have been working at MyPoints.com full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The manager I worked for was great. We could talk things out if I disagreed with a direction we were going with projects.

    Cons

Lay-offs used to make up for short falls in upper level management decisions.

    Advice to Management

Upper level management needs to better review their ideas instead of allowing the employees to pay the price for their lack of fore-thought.

    I worked at MyPoints.com full-time

    Pros

Very relaxed time off/vacation schedule, just make sure there were enough people covering. Coworkers were the best people you could ask for, very down to earth and made the work environment enjoyable and fun. Located right off the highway.

    Cons

Compensation below industry standards. Work became stale and uninteresting, yet the attitude was "just get it done ASAP." No room for advancing your career.
