    Cons

Was a hostile environment and very unprofessional and very rude espically my supervisor

    Advice to Management

Pay attention to your employees and when a employee goes up to you with some issues believe them don't try to sweep it under the rug.

I worked at MySpace (More than a year)

    Pros

As a mid level employee there was lots of opportunity to move up and it was more fun than previous jobs I've had. Even when the company was having trouble, people were very kind to newcomers. The troubles with the company leveled the playing field and allowed people like me to have more input.

    Cons

The company's uncertain future made the place very political. But when you were a lower level employee, those politics didn't bother you very much, as long as you did your work, enjoyed the benefits, and stayed out of it.

    Advice to Management

Stay transparent with your employees. If times are tough, then the more we know about it, the more we're in it with you. Limits politics and realize that sometimes troublesome employees simply have a difference of opinion and are worth hearing out.

I worked at MySpace full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

It took some convening for me to join the company, but I'm so glad I did back in 2009. The CTO at the time was a proactive leader and really kept in touch with the teams. We knew we had a difficult task of reinventing the site/brand but everyone was motivated to make it happen. Some of the brightest talent I've worked with in the industry.

    Cons

The only real downside was that MySpace as a brand was already damaged and our changes eventually had little impact. The end result was the mass layoff. I see the site has launched in a new direction. I wish the MySpace team all the luck in the world.

    Advice to Management

Try your best to fight through the many years of MySpace getting a bad rap/bad name. Your backend services and security is far better than Facebook.

    Pros

Nice place, great tech people around. Agile teams.

    Cons

Teams are fragmented but rely on each other to get the job done. However, getting response from different teams is difficult and challenging at times.

    Advice to Management

Open communication across. Swift turnaround on issues.
