I have been working at Mylan Inc full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good people trying to do their best in a strange environment.

    Cons

Morale is very low, people are looking for jobs elsewhere. CIO is unpredictable, in over his head.

    Advice to Management

Take advice from shareholders. The superficiality of the company's mission is transparent - this does not help morale. In the long term people are your most important asset, take care of them, not just the top three.

I worked at Mylan Inc full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Benefits package was good but was taken away piece by piece over the years.

    Cons

Slow to promote within; After 12 years, severance package was very poor.

    Advice to Management

Need to give serious thought to how employees are treated

    Pros

Pay, benefits, tone at the top

    Cons

Too much middle management that have been there too long. They're not supportive of change. They don't follow through on the tone set from the top.

    Advice to Management

Implement upward feedback so there is an avenue to improve poor managers or get them out

"A Cultural and Leadership Change Needed to Happen YEARS AGO"

    Negative Outlook
    Disapproves of CEO

I have been working at Mylan Inc full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

    - A lot of opportunity in the pharma industry and Mylan has a broad portfolio and large global presence
    - With M&A activity, it "should be" set up well for the future
    - Passionate lower-level employees that are hard working and willing to put in the effort

    Cons

    - All executive leadership. They have no idea that the culture is the worst it has ever been, or if they do they don't care.
    - Nobody believes in what they are doing anymore, and the leadership doesn't believe in the employees. "My way or the highway"
    - Too much micromanagement. Top Execs have driven this company into the ground and the culture reflects it. Forget about having a novel idea.
    - Uncertainty about the future with bad press, more bad press, voluntary layoffs and even more bad press.
    - Unclear commercial direction, unclear vision, unclear leadership.
    - Nobody feels like they work for a good company anymore. Zero morale and the employees realize that nobody cares.

    Advice to Management

    - Look in the mirror and realize what you're doing to destroy what was a great company
    - Embrace change, technology and open-mindedness. Despite the mission, vision and values that are put out as propaganda, it's not a representation of the company. This company is old-school, dictatorial and refuses to change.
    - Instead of "my way or the highway," maybe you ought to put yourself out to the highway as you've destroyed anything positive.

    Pros

    -Pay/Bonus
    -Coworkers
-Advancement is likely if you network with the right people
    -Additional skill education is offered

    Cons

-Recent negative public perception has made sales roles extremely challenging
-Senior management cares more about the bottom line than the employees who are busting their butt day in day out
    -Stressful
    -Recent lack of job security

    Advice to Management

Go back to Mr. Puskar's founding concept of "Doing what's right, now what's easy".
