    Pay and benefits are excellent. Made some lifelong friends.

    Cons

    Most Executive and Senior management members do not care. Fear of more layoffs.

    no work life balance, no communication, not enough resources, old boys network in play, no succession planning or career development options

    Noble cause of delivering access to high quality medication. Provides lots of opportunities to take on responsibility. Tends to promote from within.

    Cons

    No growth plan for employee growth or goals. Executive leadership lacks presence and likability. Executive compensation is not inline with industry norms. Generics industry struggling with consolidation in market place.

    Pros

    The financial stability and top notch benefits. Amazing health insurance, retirement packages, sick/vacation/personal time, annual raises that were computed based on your performance, as well as a significant annual performance bonus based on how well you worked throughout the year. The raises and bonuses also looked at if you had improvements to make from the prior year and if you met them, etc... then with that information they compute the percentage of your salary that corresponds with how well your review went and this is how the bonus and raise was established.

    Cons

    The power trip that upper management has within most of the department's in and out of the factory at the Morgantown ,WV location. It appeared as though because they received such an absurd amount of $ (usually a 6 digit figure or close to it) as a salary that they felt entitled or as though they were better then everyone else.

    Pros

    Globally good company and well qualified staffs
    Pays well
    Has vision and good policies globally
    Good mix of all cultures.

    Cons

    Mylan in India is run like a 50m$ company without any proper HR standards working environment needs a lot of improvement . HR is there only for recruitment and taking exit interviews. In- between this phase they don't exist.
    Every department head behaves as they own the IP rights of the function and if pushed only to the wall they share info.
    All are working hard without understanding what is the market scenario, there is no focus.
    You might get bosses who has never worked in the function that you have hired for and trying to get direction from them....God I don't know what to say..
    With all these going on you will get a Global boss and a local Boss, Global as usual maintains the Mylan std.
    Where are the HR's?.....

    Mylan Global standards are great but in India way to go..

    Advice to Management

    Just have one boss in India and India only for ROW markets who would responsible for both technical and Marketing so that he can have full control on the delivery. Otherwise with different bosses for different functions time would be wasted in ego management.

    Nice Benefits (though those are being slowly diminished)
    Flexible Hours

    Long Hours
    Promotions do not seemed based on ones achievements, just how well you suck up to the boss

    Advice to Management

    Actually talk to the people work with and under those prior to considering for promotions to see how much work they actually do, not just what they take credit for doing.
