I have been working at Myriad Genetics full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Benefits are above average. Health insurance plan is great. I only pay $90/mo out of pocket for my family. HSA contribution is great. The company is constantly looking for new perks and benefits for its employees. It is a low stress work environment. Great coworkers. CEO and management are impressive. The company is it for the long haul and has a good outlook. Very respectful in regards to work/life balance.

    Cons

High turnover in tech positions. Lower turnover in higher positions which can make advancement tough. Parking is becoming more and more difficult.

    Advice to Management

Stop in the labs and say hello every once in a while.

I have been working at Myriad Genetics as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

Love this company! Their lab is first class and their accuracy is pretty much 100%. The employees share a common mission...to reduce hereditary cancer. Myriad is a front runner in human genetics. There is a strong sense of pride in the entire company

    Cons

They don't have a full time open position for account rep in my area. I would love to get on with Myriad full time.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you're doing! The patient speaker program is top notch.

I worked at Myriad Genetics as a contractor

    Pros

Wonderful team, very helpful and friendly managers. Culture was fun and exciting.

    Cons

With data entry, the work was challenging and a bit confusing, yet fun to learn. Downside was the working as a temporary to permanent with no benefits before three months.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the great work!

I worked at Myriad Genetics full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great compensation and benefits, such good people, not too big, but with the stability of a large company because everyone is invested in the success of the work. Myriad is into Six Sigma and 5S methodology which allows coworkers to do more of what they love.

    Cons

Nearly every position requires a degree (although that's not really a problem).

    Advice to Management

Continue to teach all employees about the processes so they will be excited about their work.

    Pros

    Work environment is friendly.
Everyone is willing to help each other out.
    Benefits are great.
    Great Location

    Cons

Sometimes long hours are required, especially when on call.
A lot of team work required and some people don't do their part.

    Advice to Management

Continue to listen to those that feed you information. Never forget to praise the hard work that some put in. Look for those not pulling their weight and get rid of them. There are many times when I have been in situations where I have had to cover for someone else simply because they didn't want to work.
