    Pros

    Work environment is friendly.
Everyone is willing to help each other out.
    Benefits are great.
    Great Location

    Cons

Sometimes long hours are required, especially when on call.
A lot of team work required and some people don't do their part.

    Advice to Management

Continue to listen to those that feed you information. Never forget to praise the hard work that some put in. Look for those not pulling their weight and get rid of them. There are many times when I have been in situations where I have had to cover for someone else simply because they didn't want to work.

    Pros

Located in Research Park. Great Benefits, Work-Life Balance, Compensation, Employee Development. Great company to impact the lives of people who are suffering from cancer.

    Cons

Hard for Management to embrace new ideas.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees. You hired them for a reason.

I worked at Myriad Genetics full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great compensation and benefits, such good people, not too big, but with the stability of a large company because everyone is invested in the success of the work. Myriad is into Six Sigma and 5S methodology which allows coworkers to do more of what they love.

    Cons

Nearly every position requires a degree (although that's not really a problem).

    Advice to Management

Continue to teach all employees about the processes so they will be excited about their work.

I have been working at Myriad Genetics full-time

    Pros

Lots of employees in the labs are fresh out of college, creating a similarly youthful work environment.

    Cons

Salary is a little lower than the average for this position in a similar company in the area.

I have been working at Myriad Genetics full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great leadership with an amazing culture. They've been adaptable to market conditions to ensure their employees are taken care of while also pushing for growth and expanding their pipeline. Plenty of room for growth and movement within the company, especially with emphasis on research and development

    Cons

Very little cons with this company. Many people were hired based on ties to a particular company which may not have been best suited for the positions, but most of the bad apples have been weeded out. Depending on the manager you have it can be the best work environment or micromanaged

    Advice to Management

Be proactive in evaluating management. Ensure that the managers are cultivating business ownership and creating and environment for team members to learn and grow.

I have been working at Myriad Genetics full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The company cutture is laid back yet hardworking and innovative. The employees are intelligent and dedicated, morale is high, the products are revolutionary and for the good of all. The salaries are good, the benefits are awesome and include stock options, company match 401K, holiday and performance bonuses, excellent health care benefits at minimal cost to the employee, and so on. And there are always monthly "fun" events to celebrate birthdays, holidays, company milestones, etc. It really is a great place to work.

    Cons

Small complaints, but it would be nice to not have to take sick leave from PTO hours, include work-from-home options for employees that can do their job without having to be on-site 100% of the time, offer paid or subsidized gym memberships. Again, first world problems as they say.

    Advice to Management

Not much aside from the comments in the cons section. From the top down management is pretty approachable and strategic plans are presented and shared regularly with all employees. It's a visionary company that looks to the future and plans for it.

I have been working at Myriad Genetics full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Run your own business and feel like a true entrepreneur. Great matching 401k. Vested immediately on day 1. Decent earning potential if in top 15. Flexible management continuing to change to meet market demands. Awesome reinvestment into company with best product in class and robust studies making it easier to sell over multiple channels.

    Cons

Higher turnover as of late, needs to be more competitive from a salary standpoint. Very difficult to dig yourself out of a hole if inheriting a poor performing territory but if you can make it the rewards are good. Needs to have a bit more transparency regarding the avenues of promotion

    Advice to Management

Stay in touch with the sales team better and give a bit more kudos. Other than that keep up the great work.

I have been working at Myriad Genetics full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Amazing health benefits, good working enviornment, great co-workers, consistent hours, overtime opportunities, PTO, 13 holidays paid at 2.5x your rate when you work it, 3-4 day weekend depending on the work schedule, advancement opportunities, summer bonus and christmas "gift" bonus, matching 401k, covered parking, work parties, multiple break rooms.

    Cons

Have to work the major holidays, long hours, only 1 small raise a year, no books or electronics in the lab

    Advice to Management

Better raises and raising existing wages to match the increase of new hire wages.

I have been working at Myriad Genetics full-time

    Pros

When you have a great manager it makes all the difference in the world. I fortunately have an amazing manager that allows me autonomy to strategically run my territory in addition to providing guidance and advice. The company as a whole is fair with great benefits and compensation

    Cons

You do have to work hard to get recognized. Not too over the top, but you will be working hard not only on keeping your numbers up, but also working to collaborate across the team, business unit, and others in the company. Performance reviews are fair, but they do expect much more than just driving revenue.
